Good to see Howes, Laurie, Windsor and Brown on the field and getting touches early. Nice goal threaded by K Brown on the boundary.

Roo looks our most likely up forward.

I like Fritsch and Koz as smalls but will need to find a few more big targets.

Things looking ominous from a Richmond perspective. Demon mids doing as they like.

JVR kicks our fourth of the quart...errr....period

25-1

Great composure by son of Dogga Brown Kynan.

Pup Brown?

or Pup?

K.Brown with a rundown tackle! Hands off to Petracca who kicks his 2nd!

Schache giving the chop out in the ruck. I much prefer this so JvR isn't exposed to extra risk there.

Interesting that the goals that seem difficult and the ones he doesn't spend time thinking about are the ones Tracca nails.

Brown looks lovely up forward.

Max looks as fit as ever.

Gee I've missed footy.

Brown looks like he might be a little pest, I might love it

Pup, how can you not love the kid already, a lot of fight in that dog.

Really nice passage of play through the middle with precision handballs - unfortunately ends with a Billing’s mis kick, but great to see

K Brown looking promising. Love seeing Fritta lay a tackle even if it is high.

I like Lauies skill and run, but a big question mark for me if he has the body and desire to put on physical pressure.

Tuned in 10 minutes ago and it's been all Richmond and bombs into our crowded forward line.

Back line being cut apart on rebound

Richmond with the last three goals as the first period comes to a close.

31-19

The tall defenders are going to be a worry with this run and gun system. Lever has brain farts, May gets nervous under pressure and the Tug Boat can’t move the feet quick enough to evade pressure, nor can he defend.

Some bad kicking leading to a Richmond goal late

Had some incredible passages of play in that qtr but mis kicks in both fwd and def 50 leading to missed opportunities and oppo score

Kick it high into the forward line.. nothing’s changed

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
