I like our new strategy of recruiting kids that are too far away to even think of going home.

I thought I'd watched all his highlights before but the club's highlight package is terrific. Looks an absolutely terrific pick and definitely see shades of Track and De Goey at different times.

Has spent plenty of time living away from home and surprised at the combine with better endurance than most had him capable of.

Also looked totally at home in the WAFL seniors.

I really want his nickname to be Dirk.

Spread it round.

Or Jock?

Ice Kold Tin

Would have liked to see him when he was called out as a Dees player tbh.

Would have been nice if there was a camera set up at his place given he wasn’t at the draft.

Every time i hear we get a player from perf I worry about the go home factor.

Gotta feel sorry for the Eagles wasting pick 1 on that Reid guy when they could have had basically the same thing only cooler.

No electricity at his house. That’s how tough he is.

Does anyone know the origin of the family name?  Norwegian? Hope he isn’t pining for the fjords😮

Why does the Melbourne fc website say he comes from Exmouth?. Everything I have read states he is from Esperance. There is 20 hours difference if you drive from one to the other. Surely we can get his home town right 🥺

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.
