We would be able to match that deal. In fact I would be shocked if we don’t have an extension on the table for him if he’s willing to commit beyond the next 2 years. 3 Quote

Would you pay Harry Petty who is currently recovering from a very serious foot injury 800-900k a year? I rate the kid, but no way in the world i'd be spending that sort of money on him 4 Quote

We need to back ourselves to keep him. If he has a great season and he still wants to go home we can trade him for even more. If this was his last year of contract I’d consider it. But with two years it’s pointless to trade him now. Quote

Will be a massive loss. Melbourne have said they won’t trade him, he’s contracted, the salary cap is going up, he puts together a good year next year he’ll get offered plenty to stay. Quote

And we have now freed up so much cap space and we have already signed on our key stars for long term contracts. In my completely uneducated opinion this feels to me like a manager trying to get more $$$ for their client from their current club 2 Quote

deespicable me 1,586 Posted October 11, 2023 Posted October 11, 2023 The Crows have been told by the Demons that Petty will not be traded - so Crows will now play hardball over Shane McAdam. Oh now the Crows are just getting petty. 2 Quote
