I'm going to sounds like a broken record. This is also a rhetorical question. Why didn't we pick up Jesse Hogan when Freo wanted to ditch him? He's exactly what we need!

We've lost Hogan, Jackson and Bedford on Goodwin's watch.

Let us all hope dearly for a GWs Lions GF

oh my god it would be a joy. The AFL commercial corrupt cartel would lose their minds

please god make this happen

I wish we still had Jesse but we probably don't win in 2021 without Steven May in defence.

Sliding doors.

Great point. Not sure Frosty would have given Curnow a bath last night like May did.

I’ve got a letter going to Pert Monday. A clear eyed no holds barred review of everything is needed

members need to know the club is taking this seriously

my renewal depends on it

Money better spent on golf club membership at present

The AFL wouldn’t hate GW$ getting to the pointy end. The East Coast is worth a lot of money on TV

The way Daisy explained his reading of the play hit the nail on the head.

Such creative forward craft... unpredictable for defenders...and something that Melbourne never seems capable of is that his teammates read his movements.

He's the best player in the comp hands down

Are you saying Goodwin could stop Jackson yearning for his home? That you’d rather not have May and a flag?

Toby Greene is my favourite non-mfc player

Had a soft spot for him ever since he was shown in the crowd leaping up, fists clenched, and shouting “Maxie!!” 21 finals I think.

Sure

A half team in far western Sydney with 10000 members is not quite a Carlton Collingwood gf and the expire it gets their corporate partners and gambling companies for a week is it

That wasn't him.

port midfield getting murdered.

This would be a good outcome for the AFL.

Early days but it looks as though Port are joining us in the straight sets exit club.

If GWS can handle the 90,000 occasion and are efficient around goals, then Collingwood have got something to think about.

Refer response to SWYL.
CFC x 2 >> GWS BL

I’m ok with either GWS or BL winning, GWS preferably for their excellent pirate shanty theme song

On current form GWS and Brisbane are far and away the best teams in it.

Boy there good to watch when up and going

not sure i would have fancied our chances against gws the way they are playing. this is mightily impressive.

I thought that after the STK game and put some sneaky $ on them for the GF. They can beat the pies. Hopefullly Greene can Maynard Maynard . That would be a dream.

Such a pity Hogan had all the issues he had 7-8 years ago

talent wise he should be a 700 goal fwd

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #42 Aidan Johnson

The VFL premiership player was recruited from Werribee to alleviate Melbourne’s forward line woes and give a chop out in the ruck, but he managed only five senior matches in his first season at the club. At times, he was a dominant force at VFL level.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #44 Luker Kentfield

An exciting young key forward, Kentfield was selected in the 2024 mid-season draft but has yet to make his AFL debut. He was sidelined by a severe bout of pneumonia over the summer, which consequently limited his pre-season. Upon his return a month into the season, he commenced in defence but ultimately impressed with his progress at Casey, particularly in the latter part of the season as a strong marking goal kicking forward.

  • AFLW REPORT: West Coast

Melbourne’s response to last week’s heartbreak was emphatic, as the Demons delivered a statement win over West Coast at a windswept Casey Fields. All of the pre-match hype surrounded the coach’s box matchup of Mick Stinear up against his apprentice, Daisy Pearce along with the gloomy weather forecast. In the end, it was less about tactical chess and more about Melbourne’s relentless execution. With rain looming, the DeeArmy and early birds snapped up the best undercover viewing spots.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.
