They were saying we are a chance to play Collingwood on the Thursday night but what happens if we cop a concussion tomorrow that’s only 11 days so they wouldn’t be able to play hopefully if that did happen the afl wouldn’t schedule us on that day same goes for Carlton and gws

This is like a 2 week bye with all these irrelevant games.

AFL are lucky they have no real competition other than B grade movies

PS: Gil etc will be thinking... imagine the excitement if 9 and 10 if not 11 and 12 were eligible for wild card play offs

Whately brought this up on SEN this morning.

I think his words were we'd tear the house down if say Gawn, Trac etc got concussed tomorrow and missed first final due to 12 day break.

Gil's got and getting a lot wrong so wouldn't surprise me, but we'll know 9.00 pm-. ish tomorrow.

Whateley also reckons Friday is the best day for such a final - Pies vs Dees anyway.

I think of a Thursday final is on the cards it should not be allocated to the team with the minor premiership. And just on this, these things should not be made up on the fly.

Go Norff !   lol

Thursday night QF is absurd. Is it BS or a strong rumour. Presumably  Friday is a working day.  ffs

If a key Melb player is concussed those dummies at AFL HQ better not shaft us. Of  course Carlton will have nothing to worry about their game will be 13 or 14 days out.

Pert better get on top of this before those AFL exec morons schedule the QF's.

Goody was clearly wrong about Maginness wanting the ball, he has racked up the possies, getting his first and only one, 30 seconds before halftime.

If it’s Us against Pies, why would you schedule it before a school/ work day?

It would be biggest game of the 4.

That's rubbish, Carlton the AFL darlings get the Friday night?

It doesn't make sense to have a Carlton v GWS/Sydney on the Friday when the Melbourne v Collingwood is more attractive.

We should get the Friday night, they can give the Thursday night to one of the EF.

As mentioned above as much and as I don't like Cwood, it's the team that finishes on top of the table that should get the Friday slot .

If West Coast own pick 1 again, would pick 5 plus extras be enough for Reid? If we can get 4 off suns then maybe?? I'm torn about what result I want now.

Imagine the excitement if Melbourne and Adelaide hadn't lost due to AFL incompetence and there was more clubs fighting for a spot in the 8 and other clubs jostling for position.........but hey, why fix the problem in front of you when you can distract people and create another.

That’s something to worry about after we win the flag, Nasc

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
