Tracc, viney and maxy all spent a big chunk of the last quarter on the bench. Sure manage any plsyer really needing a spell, but otherwise use the bench to give your A graders and young blokes a decent chop out. I think they're also using the forward half to rest/take Trac out of the bang and crash of midfield for a few weeks, and I'd expect him to play heavy midfield minutes in finals. 5

Agree on both points. Goody, who simply does not get the credit he deserves for his tactical smarts, has been really clever with the way they have used Tracc. Essentially, Fritter come back in as a forward and Tracc can go back to being a 70-30 mid with very little disruption to the set up. And, to boot, as you say he has been kept out of the fray in the middle (even against the lions and to a lesser extent the blues), so comes into finals relatively fresh, as does Clarry - which is brilliant for two power players. And is in contrast to last season when both looked really banged up at this point in the season. Edited August 24, 2023 by binman 12
Roost it far 10,136 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 (edited) We’re hitting finals like a freight train, I’m pumped I will add that I was also confident in 21 and watching the footy is hard. I get really nervous and anxious. This finals series is going to really test me. Breathe Roost It! Edited August 24, 2023 by Roost it far 2 3
Kev 10,926 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 (edited) Heard it is "Fritta and Tmac in, Grundy out", on the 7 news. Want plenty from Tom, and to just get some run into the legs of Fritta. Edited August 24, 2023 by kev martin 2 1
Yarra Valley Demon 127 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Fritta, Tmac, Woey, Disco on the extended bench. Schache omitted. My guess is Tmac and Fritta in, Smith to sub, Laurie dropped. 1 2

Jaded No More 68,976 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 I mean if Tmac and Fritta hit form then we aren’t that far off our premiership winning forwardline. Just replace BB with JVR. 3

Smith sub is just so versatile. Maybe one of Fritta or Mac will be subbed out if no other forced hand through in match injury. 1

Bonkers 994 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 INS – McDonald, Fritsch, Woewodin, D.Turner OUTS – Schache (omitted, Round 23 sub) 1

bluey 1,123 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Tommy must stay home and play in the square, let Rooyen do the leg work. 2

Roost it far 10,136 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 (edited) TMac remains a risky proposition. Not convinced he’ll be playing finals. He’ll replace Smith? Edited August 24, 2023 by Roost it far 1
Adam The God 30,730 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Given the ins, I'd like Turner to get a go for Tomlinson, but I can't see a way that happens. So TMac in, Laurie to sub, if no TMac, then Turner to CHB and Fritta and Smith to rotate between Laurie's high half forward position and playing deeper. I think this is what I'll go with. McVee May Bowey Salem Smith Lever Langdon Oliver Hunter Petracca TMac Fritta Kozzy JVR ANB Gawn Viney Gus Rivers Sparrow Chandler Melksham Laurie 2
