Honestly I reckon we need speed.

Some of those Lions players have looked a lot faster than us.

Maybe a draft/trade need?

Another hold or block not paid

Brisbane forward line is doing everything we SHOULD be doing. Open, leading forwards, kicking well, connection with mids

Goodwin, great player but [censored] coach. He needs the sack!

How many frees do their defenders not get called for?

10000000000

Need to realise that this game plan is dead. There are more than half dozen teams that have leg speed off half back that break us down. We have no counter punch. Nothing.

Top 4 is a pipe dream and we will be fighting of the 8.

Captains goal!

Tonight is a big lesson on how to lower the eyes and hit up targets, Lions outstanding skills.

Been a long time since Maxy has kicked one from out there. Good to see but we really need a few more this qtr to have a chance.

Why was Petty Chosen.

May having a reverse of last week sadly. Would be nice for Lever to pick up the slack.

We ain't contenders.

We just lose in the same way every time, you would have thought something would have changed by now.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

It's Game Day and the Demons face a monumental task as they take on the top-of-the-table Magpies in one of the biggest games on the Dees calendar: the King's Birthday Big Freeze MND match. Can the Demons defy the odds and claim a massive scalp to keep their finals hopes alive?

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
