Lol Hawks own the Lions. Sweet… another goal. Keep putting a dent in their percentage

Eight of the last Nine goal to the Dawks. Well if the AFL are threatening to take their draft picks there's no point tanking.

just watched the last few minutes but the chasing and general effort from the Lions is shocking.

soft performance

Agreed. It’ll be a massive opportunity missed if we can’t get past the Pies.

This is why Brisbane can’t be taken seriously. Away from Brisbane they can’t be trusted.

Unless they play us

What’s this about the AFL threatening our draft picks?

Gunston is an interesting one - he was still an excellent player in 2022 and I was actually disappointed we didn’t go after him. But he has fallen off the cliff now. Not totally unexpected (he’s 32 this year) but just very sudden. Hopefully our plus 30s have a couple of good years left yet.

Brisbane loading or the MCG Effect? @binman your thoughts?

Impact of an increased block of aerobic and power conditioning.

Lewis almost let the cat out of the bag right at the end noting how they got out run on the big open spaces of the g in the second half.

Or alternatively, the lions, who many said were the best team behind the pies, are pretenders.

Beaten by a team we flogged by nearly 10 goals.

Hawks 2 points behind the Blues

their 3 year rebuild looking a lot better than Carlton’s 20 years one 😂😂

after today the top 2 is locked in if the Pies beat us

HUGE GAME

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
