I promise you that when you turn up to the G tomorrow, youโ€™ll see 22 Melbourne players plus a sub. Who those players are, nobody knows.ย

Good question. Pies players are probably still waiting for their Telehealth consultations.ย

Surely itโ€™s the players who trained with Woey as carryover.

JJ and Hibbo in for Harmes and Bowey.

Would far rather see Woey in than JJ. JJ is a known: pretty competent, but no more than that. Woey is an unknown. He may be a bust but thenโ€ฆ.. maybe not.

Hi all,ย

I have 2 level 4 tickets in the Shane Warne Stand that Iโ€™m not using tomorrow, so if anyone wants them they are free to a good home. ย DM me, first in best dressed.ย

Clint the MFC website says 6:20pm.

Has this ever happened before full house and neither team announced 22 hrs before the game, quite baffling- you post first, no you post first, NO YOU POST FIRST.!!!!!!!!

Thatโ€™s still insanely late, not blaming the club but Todayโ€™s games had teams confirmed on Friday.

I suppose it matters to the club from a planning perspective.ย
Shouldnโ€™t matter to fans, except those who gamble.ย

Well here is the team then:

same as last week with Bowey and Harmes out and Hibbo and JJ in, with Woey as carryover.

Enjoy.

Not hard to work out since we know who played for Casey today and we know who is unavailable due to injury.

Because that was the training squad this morning.

Both teams are in the same boat. I'm sure we'll have multiple plans for certain players, but we'll focus on ourselves as always.

Collingwood's ball movement and what they try to do isn't drastically going to change from the last year of football, so it's about how our system can combat this and exploit it.

The personnel is largely irrelevant, although we know De Goey and Sidebottom won't be playing.

Used to matter as they had to print the Footy Record. Doesn't matter anymore.

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Nightโ€™s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourneโ€™s memorable premiership triumph.

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, weโ€™ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binmanโ€™s Stats Files. Not because it isnโ€™t important; quite the opposite. Itโ€™s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourneโ€™s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last yearโ€™s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although itโ€™s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sundayโ€™s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to foolโ€™s gold.
