I started watching it when I got home from banner. Pies were 5.4.34, Lions were 3.4.22. Lions have kicked 10 goals since I walked in the door.

You're all welcome.

get on your bikes, send your excess solar, do anything to keep those GABBA lights on😂🤣😬

Go back out the door, Pies just scored.

I still feel Collingwood aren't out of this. We know how they come back

Not without the Collingwood army of supporters pushing them along.

The MCG is a long way from the Lions den at the Gabba.

So can someone clarify this for me pls...

Player takes a mark under severe pressure with opponent bearing down.

Opponent runs over the mark in his attempt to spoil and put player off from marking.

Umpire then calls player (who has gone past the mark) to come back a meter or two and stand the mark where he (the umpire) believes the mark was taken.

Player goes back but then does not stand the mark and keeps going back away from the mark.

My understanding was that if he's instructed to come back a meter or two he cant then decide (for himself) that he's now going to run way back behind the mark to an 'outside 5' set up.

In other words the player standing the mark can't have it both ways, especially when instructed by the umpire to go back and stand the mark.

This happened just now in tonight's game... with the umpire doing exactly the above but then allowing player to go back and actually calling him as 'outside 5' after initially calling him back 2 meters (to stand the mark).

Anyone??

Stupid rule (Stand...!), so much so that the umpires don't understand it...!

A goal assist and has stood on the mark a couple of times.

Daniher doing his best to bring the Pies back into this.  I'd be subbing him around about now

Obviously I'm not there but why are Brisbane overhand balling. get it into the 50 where you have Hipwood, Cameron, Rayner & Gunston

Yeah their gameplan stinks tonight.

Some dumb footy the last 5 mins from the Lions. They're quite capable of coughing up this game

They are so susceptible to any type of pressure

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
