Still a lot of belief in Collingwood. I'm yet to be convinced that they can repeat their gameplan of 2022 this year (2023).

Richmond... can't see it

Gold Coast are my smokies for the 8.

They have a good midfield and Touk is a bloody star.... he is welcome to come to the Dees when he's had enough of that horrible jumper 😁

But in all seriousness could they finally make it? At the expense of Collingwood would be absolutely stunning!

Rather than replacing Collingwood I prefer Fremantle

Saw Sam Draper on the news tonight saying he's using it as motivation next week because people are saying Essendon are in for a long season & none of the captain's picked them to make the 8.

Well duh hate to tell you Sam but why would anyone pick your team to make finals, your team has been miserable for years & I hope it continues.

Those people are wrong.  Essendon are in for a short season.  It will be finished by the end of August.

I know they can’t vote for their team but think they are allowed to vote for teammates. I remember Max voted for Fritch for Coleman a couple of years ago.

#31 could be a smokey for the Coleman if he recovers early from this "misery mystery foot injury".

Being captain of a footy side doesn’t make you a rocket scientist LH.

Was just thinking the same before I read this thread  'old dee'...

Oh I hope so. If it's possible I hope they have a more of a miserable season than last year

until they stop whinging and moaning i hope so too

I am excited for Richmond to have a decidedly terrible season... Mainly because in 2022 the first thing my very senior coworker (pro Tiges) said to me was that Dee fans are obnoxious, can't go the distance and we won't win again for another 57 years

...No, I'm not bitter on the daily about this, why do you ask?

Absolutely not Collingwood. If Freo make it we can get better seats rather than battle the "filth" supporters.

Morning run - hope their season ends up here

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
