Glad it's not really seen in AFLW and hope it never is!

It’s dirty play.
I saw Clarry’s scar (uncovered) and was shocked at how long and deep it was. I asked him if he’s worried about it being targeted and he said, “pfft, of course!”
I should’ve given him a stupid question alert. 😂

Maybe one the trackwatchers should take bio oil to the next training for Clarry 😂 Poor thing

This was discussed on another thread.  Fritsch's foot was stomped on by accident in training a few weeks back.  They're managing it conservatively and letting him heal (which is going well apparently).  It's not on the website because this is the kind of injury that teams will exploit / target Fritsch for

Yeah nah, that's a cop out. Going off this reckoning that means we just simply dont update an injury list all season?

Also, explain how they're able to exploit him from a stomped foot?

It's not hard to update fans.

Bayley Fritsch - Ankle 2-3 weeks.

Easy done.

Not sure if you have realised but this is a game of footy? Like there is an element of physicality about this sport?

You honestly think the likes of Steven May and Jack Viney at times don't go out there to deliberately hurt blokes?

C'mon.. lol

So missing as far as I can see are:

Viney, (inj) Fritsch, (inj)  Salem, (inj)  Tomlinson, ??  Rivers, (wonder why ?) Dunstan and J Smith of the "worthy"  to be selected otherwise I like the strength of the squad.

anyone wish to add to my concerns ?

Of concern, Picket Fence still not able to get into the ground and forced to watch from outside the ground????

Strange response. First being hard at opponents is not the same as deliberately stomping on someone's foot who has a known foot injury (yes that is how you can exploit an opponent with a foot injury - stomp on it again).  And it seems you assume DelightfulPlay must approve of May or Viney deliberately hurting opponents in that way, just because they are MFC players.  Perhaps he disapproves of it for all players.  I do.

The Demons take on the Tigers in their final hit out before the start of the 2023 Premiership Season in 2 weeks. The match will be played at Casey Fields and begins at 4:10pm. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Footy & and streamed on Kayo Sports.

If K Bradtke is a notable absentee for the Tigers, I would have thought Premiership player Rivers is one for the Dees.

Rivers is named back pocket.

You would never have played for Sheedy then.

The Club are under absolutely NO obligation to inform fans of the nature of injuries. What’s there to gain from  publicising it?

Any standouts so far ? Is Jed Adams playing?

From what I’ve heard on footy commentary and talk shows, the day of opposition players deliberately targeting know injuries is over. The AFL don’t want a repeat of some of the well publicised incidents from the past (and they really are well and truly long past now) and have made it known big suspensions would follow.

Please.. This isn't the 80's. Lots of AFL players play with sore ankles and not once have I seen an incident where a player has deliberately stomped on their foot simply to exploit them.

Gee we are spoiled. Is it just me that can remember only one replay on the weekend in the good old days. And it was rarely our team in it.

Yes the old am radio had to suffice.

Spot on, it is reason that Robert Flower was not a bigger name. He was not seen by the general public. 3- 4 games a year on replay.

It generally only becomes a weekly report when the season is underway.

That’s probably when it becomes a ‘legitimate’ league obligation.

Where did I say it was going on these days? I just said playing vigoursly is not the same as targeting a player's injury.

You haven’t seen it happen? Well then that must mean it never happens.

8 players on the bench

Will be interesting to see the rotations.

I'd play Brown for a half at most and JVR for the other half if not for say one more quarter in exchange for T Mac in order to look at the set ups.

Woewodin in relief of a winger

Lots of half backs on the bench. Where does Laurie usually play?
