I know I am old but I have absolutely no idea what you are saying. Please explain! Sorry I couldn't help the last sentence but would still like to know.⁵

I think it’s a reference to the muscle definition in Jefferson’s arms, as can be seen in the photo above. But what would I know…I’m old as well.

Making up things a normal part of your repertoire?

Nice self-own.

Feel free to let me know where that was said by me.....

Not your greatest post 58er

Apologies JNRMAC

It was DCTRACCA who made the errors.

Over to you TRACCA?

It's not hype. It's hope. It's the off season. It's a time for the optimism of the supporters to grow and look forward to the next season.

The houses have all been trained down. Players have put on muscle in just a few weeks of holidays and all the problems with the game plan will magically be solved.

At the moment, Johnson is a Schrödinger's cat. He could be the next Tony Lockett or he could be a complete bust.

Let the optimists have their time.

Far better to be an optimist who is sometimes wrong than a pessimist who is always right.

Errrrrr we are 14th

That may only be for the last 6/8 games of 2024. That doesn’t mean we are stuck in that position permanently.

We could have easily made the finals without Trac and Clarry’s last half season. It was rare air without the two champs.

What does “ a bit too good for demo leaders” mean?

Jeffo owes it to Chris in Camberwell to have a 'break out" year.

He'll blow a bloody woofer valve if he doesn't.

Pressure's on!

Will play round 1!!

Perhaps that a lot of posters have called out his previously thin build? He has bulked up quite a bit now.

Let’s wait and see mate.

17 goals in a VFL season, 4th at club, is hardly going to be keeping the oppo coaches up at night thinking about match ups. His best game was 3 goals against the Northern Bullants who have to beg local kids to play with them. Hes a great story if he gets a game but he wont be in the team for his scoreboard impact.

Thanks hardtack. Interesting it has not been explained by the person who made the comment. Enjoy 2025 hardtack.

People are essentially lazy I think.

I just had the first chemotherapy session of my return, and feeling ok so far…but it is early days yet 😁. Hopefully this doesn’t spoil my 2025 too much; I will be on this for a few months, I suspect.

True, but at least I had almost a year off the ‘gear’ 😁

Jeffo”s best haul was 5 goals against the Zebras. 27 goals in 15 VFL matches. He was played in different positions prior to these games.

The kid can play.

There was a period last year where we had 4 tall forwards in the VFL team, and Jeffo was played in the forward pocket and moved to defence during that period. I recall in games where it was just him and Kentfield as our tall forwards, he looked very good when as the focal point of our attack.

You must have missed last half of 2024. If you are going to comment please br accurate.

Goody  would not have made Jeffo an emergency 3 weeks in a row at the end of the season without the actual improvement he has actually made.

Many in the Club are looking forward to him continuing on with his impressive development

It is disappointing to read of criticism that is inaccurate.

Credit where credit is due please.

Goody can have his opinion on him thats totally fine, and I will be more than happy to be proven wrong. I watch every VFL game and still dont rate him as an AFL level player, and the stats dont lie....

Ill give credit when credit is due. Hopefully he can have more impact on the game instead of over the back goals ala Jenkins.

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.

All at Melbourne are eagerly anticipating his resurgence to his previous peak performance levels.
