It's really hard to forget how much they really kicked out behind last time. Mason Cox played a game for the ages, Howe was brilliant, Sidebottom and Pendles brilliant. I really worry how we are going to be able to combat all this.

Sure it's hard to forget, but that doesn't mean you have to talk about it!

Good Post

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

This game is on the coaches

Pretty confident we will find a way.

Plenty of punters agree it would appear given we are currently 1.45 favourites - which is pretty remarkable given they have won their last 10 games and it is second v third.

Remind me

How many times since 2017 have they beaten us

The talk before the last game was by how much we would bury them.

When we were down we always performed well against Essendon. Perhaps they have our measure.

Not by me it wasn't.

I said we would struggle.

You might remember the reason why. Rhymes with foreboding.

Which is appropriate, given the pies fans will be approaching this game with a sense of foreboding, which is defined as 'a feeling that something bad will happen'.

We will smash them.

I will be surprised if Brown plays and I expect Sam to play. Put simply there is no one else. JVR played well but against the worst team in comp.

You can only beat who you play against. van Rooyen should definitely get a game ahead of Weideman.

were we loading in all the other games

They have our game plan down pat

Sure we might win but percentage wise they have proved themselves superior

They’re the only team we haven’t beaten in two years…

Correct but I still believe you need to consider that element before we put him into one of the biggest games of the year. One hell of a step up from Preston at the bottom of the vfl to Collingwood at the G.

Young Tigers player with only a handful of games kicked 5 goals against Brisbane on the weekend, you never know unless you give it a go

Huge difference not

I really really hope the Ginnivan incident with Gawn coming off the ground last time is one of those 'You don't forget' moments for the guys.

I like the kid and think he can play but I think the rest of Australia would like to see him get some just desserts on national television.

The Pies fans are insufferable, the talk im hearing on radio is how easily they will just waltz over us.

Just makes you want to go... hulk punches GIF

This is their Grand Final :)

Last time we were hamstrung with injuries to Gawn Petty, May was out  no TMac. We kicked the first 5. We were still ahead 5g to 2g early in the 3rd when Petracca fumbled in the goal square and a few other fumbles cost is big time. Umpiring was shiite as per usual. Cox feasted on our lack of talls. Even MBrown was shifted to defence.

We have got this.

Ah yes. I would have put those gifs in the same post but that is fine.

It takes a strong personality to front for your first game at the  G in front of 70k+ and against the pies who will target him. Let's hope he is that good.

Ben Brown in at least one photo from today's training gallery. Doesn't really tell us anything.

Harmes for Neal-Bullen. Hunt's speed is required.

Brown (if fit) or Van Rooyen for Weid. If its Van Rooyen tell him all we are expecting is a contest in the air.

We can't keep playing Weid. Its like playing one short.

Do you also forget that May wasn’t playing …Petty of and on…lost Turner early to concussion & Max had done his ankle  and probably should have been off. QB always seems to be in a loading phase as well. It’s very hard to replace players in real game time.  Think we have the players this time to give us the win .

What are you going to lose when compared to he'd be replacing
