Potential for an enormous amount of egg on face if we win this year's flag with Brodie.

If  DAMIAN    BARRETT had any footy clue...

THEN..

( consensus suggests we can just leave it there.....nothing to add )

If Damian Barrett had a brain

Then

The Tinman would be lonely

Apparently its Hinkley himself who wants Grundy, unsure where Port as a club sits on those wants and needs though.

If I'm right in thinking that Port only have picks 36, 38, 71, 89 then they've got very little trade currency to offer us.

He wanted Kozzie Pickett, too.  Look how well that worked for him.

He's back in, let's see some shots fired back this weekend..

Confirmed or just extended bench?

Considering Brown has been omitted, I'd say Grundy is in

Hmm I’m not so sure. Petty might play forward and keep Tomo in.

The thing is, we need leadership in the forward line.  Brown was providing that.  Petty is still young, and hasn't played enough in the forward to provide leadership.

It's a fair point, helps to have someone who can  'lead the line'. This is something T-mac provides as well.

Exactly, we've lacked it to a certain extent since TMac got injured. I believe it's a key aspect as to why our forward line hasn't been firing as well.  Drop Brown, fine, but then bring in that leadership.  Grundy is experienced enough to do that.

I’d take Butters, or shove it up you Port! 😂

The media hasn't referenced Brodie or his camp once when talking about a potential 3rd change of club.

I find the whole thing quite disrespectful towards his character, who himself said he's a professional and will act as such when quizzed by a reporter at Casey.

He’s played forward more than Grundy. I just think they’ll give Grundy one more week in the vfl before they pull the trigger and bring him back.

We’ve been keen on Mitch Georgiades since his draft year…

If Grundy does go, do we try to get Silvagni from the Blues as the more model 2nd ruck that has some forward craft? He looks to be on the outer to free up cap space for De Koning

We don't want Grundy to go unless we get a Godfather deal, because if Grundy goes Collingwood save $$$$$$$$.

If you believe in ‘culture and values’ of the MFC that Goody always goes on about (and I do) I have no doubt that Grundy will be around for the finals and for a few years to come.  Go Grundy and Go Dees!

I think what we need is a contest and second and third efforts. Unfortunately Brown doesn't offer much if he's not marking the ball and last week he had zero marks in the F50.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
