You have to give big props to Petty. He was literally sticky taped together and just killed every ball coming his way. Held a fragile backline together.

Again because injuries are forcing our hand. May, Smith both unbelievable and Tmac also injured. We literally have no options. 
He was cleared of structural damage last week so he played. He was in so much pain I can’t believe how well he played with a bad shoulder, a bad knee and a bad ankle. Absolute resilience!

He wasn't right from 5 mins into the game

Neither Rivers nor Hibberd are tall defenders. 
Petty struggled but he was still our best tall defender even on one leg. I shudder to think how many more goals we would have conceded without him.

    The Demons 2026 AFL Fixture is as good as can be expected considering their performances and finishes the past two seasons. Sunday games and late afternoon starts are on the menu with only 1 Friday night fixture until Round 15. They will travel 8 times including their home game in the Alice, their Gather Round game as well as a match against the Hawks in Tasmania. They will face, the Bombers, Bulldogs, the Suns, the Tigers, the Hawks and the Dockers twice.

But in a repeat of Round 11, Brisbane proved too strong, too fit, and too relentless.  They brought their kicking boots: 9 goals, 2 points.
