Wow! This is one powerful team!

What I like:

Viney: In full beast mode.

Bedford: that speed is mesmerising.

Kozzie!!!!

Max turning it on in the second quarter with his own clearances.

Petty filling in for May.

Lever doing great.

Things to work on:

Petracca is quiet.

Rivers has made a few blues.

Jacko could do a bit more especially with Lobb being so dangerous.

Bedford and Kozzie is a super exciting combo

Looking like a really bad move to take Oliver off midway through the second quarter. He was really pushing the game for us. It halted our momentum. So frustrating to see this now.

I feel bad saying it in his 200th game but Melksham is so cooked. The best he can do is get a 50/50, or grab an opportunistic goal.

Bailey Fritsch you star. badly needed

When everyone else is going around the body every second shot, Fritta does it drop punt weaker side.

Just play him out of the goal square, won’t be getting in Weid or Browns way

Spargo having a shocker

Worst game he has ever played as a winger.

Brayshaw stepping up when a positional gap occurs. Where have I seen that before?

Highest IQ player in the comp.

i'm a big fan of Garry Lyon

except when he's commentating on Dees games

Move Weed to the back line

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
