That free kick against Davey (GCS) for running too far was diabolical. Critical time in the game. Coach killer.

Surely players know that they are running to far.

But GC missed some easy goals that quarter, but it would be great if they could win.

Their intercept marking has been off for weeks because they on't seem to know what they're supposed to be doing in this new Collingwood game plan. They've robbed Peter to pay Paul.

Witts is a really good ruckman - some of his work is so good to watch. And although Buddy will do some miraculous stuff and may be even help win a game or two, a larger % of his work each week is becoming a liability.

HTB free payed against Witts...

"That's smart by Kennedy. Jumped on top of Witts and dragged it back in"

🤔

If everyone - including the presumably the umpire - can see that the tackler dragged it back in, why does this call continuity go against the guy under the pack who has been tackled?

Jarrod Witts is the second best ruckman behind Gawn.

Swans have been really poor in this final quarter. Can;t get any offence going at all

I actually think the Suns have the bones of a really good side.. they probably need a better coach, and 2-3 really good experienced players but i reckon they can be optimistic.

Problem is they get right on the edge about to explode and be raided again by Victorian clubs.

This will go down as one of the worst last quarters in recent memory. Both sides hopeless.

Bigger problem is that they have few players like Touk Miller who works his butt off..

Sydney’s midfield smashed by Gold Coast

clearances and contested touches

maybe Sydney aren’t that good

Both those results good for us. Win tomorrow and we're 3 games clear of 5th (or possibly 4th depending in other results).

Credit to the Suns but i'm not sure about the Swans top 4 bona fides after this quarter of football. They were dreadful

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
