When something is more meaningful than you know, because you just don’t know. And that’s ok, but just get out of the way.

Watching that put the biggest smile on my face. Club absolutely kicking goals off-field recently, and this shows what the addition of an indigenous liaison officer at each club can do.

Narrm the Dees!!!

Anyone else worried about a jumper clash? Certainly top half. I wonder what the back of Norf's is like?

OK I've changed my tune.

Seeing the jumper next to the north one I like it. Doesn't look as busy as I originally thought. Maybe cos the north one is really intricately patterned... but anyway I like it

This is one of the best things the club has done off the field in my lifetime.

I know it’s not exactly like-for-like but a rebrand of Demonland to Narrmland for a few weeks would be excellent.

The merchandise released an hour ago , selling quickly , guernseys and scarf sold out it seems

I thought about it but I'm not sure it's not appropriation or insensitive to indigenous people and their culture without their blessing.

Happy just to promote and celebrate indigenous culture by promoting and supporting the indigenous community in any way I can.

Fair call.

Feel in love with Matty Whelan first time I saw him play

Seems a bit on the nose, but afl.com is asking people to vote on the best Indigenous jumper. Surprised to see we were equal clubhouse leaders. I wouldn't have thought that would be the general opinion as to aesthetics. Is it the rebrand that's winning the votes?

Yep.  imv, asking people to vote is in poor taste and not in line with the occasion.

The devil snake on the new merch is off the charts cool. I really hope the club jump on that longer term and make different versions of it as part of our indigenous brand.

So pumped for my new devil snake scarf to arrive -  which will be in rotation with my regular scarf, and my premiers scarf. What a time to be a Demon supporters neck!

Sadly, it looks like the scarves are sold out as couldn't see any in the mfc 'shop' on line.

Ditto. Assuming more will come. It’s a winner.

Sure is a winner!

I rang the Shop, they have plenty in stock for OTC sales.

More stock will be made for on-line purchase but they weren't too sure when.

Will try and find out more when I go to the Shop tomorrow.

Agree. I love the look of it and would be happy to see that as our Sir Doug Nicholls round kit.

Really like the Bombers design too.

Ours is growing on me after I initially didn't think much of it.

I've always been a fan of the simple designs of traditional jumpers such as our navy blue with the red triangle, Carlton's solid blue with the CFC logo and Richmond's and Essendon's solid black with coloured sash. I've never liked the messier designs of the Eagles or the paddle-pop Lions. However, indigenous art is inherently "busy" with its use of pontillism and animal motifs. These busier designs work brilliantly for indigenous themed jumpers.

I think you can view it as a celebration of the art you like.
Something that's often overlooked is the huge boon this is for indigenous artists to promote their work.
I bought some artwork a few years back after seeing the artist Nth Melbourne Design - loved it.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
