Noah is eerily similar in terms of the tall solid build and the big hips. He seems to have a good contested mark to his game and I feel hes got similar traits to Jake Waterman.

Waterman was a useful big half forward flank with good defensive attributes for a taller/stiffer type until he suffered some bad injuries/illnesses then somehow came back as a powerhouse full forward.

Noah hasn't really shown the ability to do much up the ground and mostly I've thought what's the use of an undersized leading full forward in modern footy, it's pretty much been a dead position since the early 00's.

But right now Gunston is dominating, Jamie Elliot just had a career best year, Jezza has been moved back to full forward and for us Melksham is our best path to goal.

7 goals in a final doesn't hurt but overall I think footy has shifted in a way that makes Noah's skillset look more appealing and if he doesn't make it as a forward I reckon you'd have a good look at him down back.

Noah looked really good on the weekend, albeit against fairly ordinary opposition with little pressure coming out of the middle.

My concern is how he would fare against AFL level opposition in a senior side where we almost never hit a leading target on the chest.

That said, I'd be more than happy to pay McAdam out and give Yze a rookie spot instead.

Ordinary opposition??? Um it was a final, not like playing vs Old Kent Road magoos

I remember our recruiting team was addressing future father son selections at a function. They didn’t mention Noah. Someone asked why and the response was, he has talent and could become an AFL player but it would have to be as a power forward. They also said that his focus, at the time, wasn’t purely on AFL so his development was behind his peers.

I had a loose connection to Caulfield Grammar at the time and asked about Noah’s abilities and they agreed that he was talented but not sure what he wanted or was going to do.

On that basis, his rate of improvement this year is not too surprising and there should be a lot more improvement to come. He has a fanatic set shot routine and is smart. Worth a roll of the dice I’d say.

He didn't play firsts in year 11, which is unusual for someone with his background. Lovely kid though.

He might be the new J.Smith , a medium forward capable of kicking goals.

Smith's value came from his explosiveness and speed. Noah is a smarter player, a more than natural footballer, but lacks the explosiveness and speed. They are important attributes in a mid sized forward I reckon.

I don't think we'll go down the Noah path.

It’s not for the faint of heart.

Could be epic.

Any updates regarding noah and whether he may be joining via the draft?

i’m assuming the club won’t go down that path but hoping he can play a full season with casey to get a real look at him..

Noah’s 7 goal performance for Casey in the VFL finals. Strongly suggests there is something to work with. Unsure of available list positions, probably viewed by recruiters as a speculative late pick or rookie spot at best. Maybe the tiggers or woods are seeking that late ‘honey pot’ pick too? If so it’s Pooh to bare, another Casey player snatched from under our list management noses.

Nickname... The Ark

I like it

Noah ... son of Adam

Does Noah have siblings

Noah was the son of Lamech, so do we have to rename Adem ?

Nickname Zark sounds ok for Noah.

And a bit of light humour on the topic

We have 4, could be 7 spots available (Trac, Oliver, Woey [OOC]) so who knows. We need to get players from somewhere and it isn’t a deep draft class. My educated guess would be train on spot in summer for a SSP position.

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
