I love big butts!!
Pickett has got me posting in an exuberant way!!
Please don't judge me for what I say!

I love big butts and I cannot lie, those skinny butt's make me cry!!

A previous poster (apologies for not remembering whom) posed the question about Harmes looking stronger.
At the time I had also observed he did look (in my eyes), more powerful.
My memory (feeble as it is), had me recalling an interview with Jason Akermanis after he had an ordinary season with the Dogs. He said at the time; he had lost too much of his arze (backside) and it was robbing him of his "power". Roll that forward to our current Demons team and (please don't judge me) I can see a lot more size in our players butts and upper thighs.
There are not a lot of skinny little bums our there. I believe this is a deliberate strategy to increase our power away from stoppage and tackles. I don't know who is behind (pun intended) this but either Burgess or Selwyn and regardless, I hope it puts us ahead of the curve.

On the opposite side, 2 years ago Tmac looked way too bottom heavy, didn't look like he could move as fluently as he once did, didn't have a good season and was subsequently shopped about at trade time.

Last year seemed to slim down in the glutes and got back to his best

Unfortunately, he was encouraged to put weight on so he could play the big full forward role ( like Tomahawk and have a look at the size of his backside). It's a testament to his character that he didn't make anything of that and when it didn't work he went away and did the hard yards to get back to being the player we see today.  I don't think you can suggest he has a skinny little bum now either. In fact he looks really powerful at the moment.

I feel like if we spoke about the AFLW players in the same way; referring to their “bums” “butts” “cracks” “big butts” etc, would result in the thread being deleted and/or a warning/ban. All for talking about players putting on size/trimming down but talking about “big butts” and the like, is a little distasteful.

Can't quite recall which clown it was on here who called me our for using the phrase 'bent over' in a trade negotiation context once, like in using that phrase I was somehow being disparaging to men who like [censored] intercourse. ?

You're not getting behind this idea, Ethan?

I think it’s not so much butt-size, more likely one’s centre of gravity. Idk if that alters with the increase/decrease of the size of any particular body part.
Sam Mitchell comes to mind. He has a low centre of gravity. As does Gavin Wanganeen, Héritier Lumumba, and our own Luke Jackson to name a few. A variety of body types, height etc., and while I’ve never paid particular attention to the size of their butts, I’m sure they also vary.
Since I’m no expert, perhaps someone else knows more on the subject. They might get to the *bottom of this.
Soz, I had to do it. Can’t let @Demonstonehave all the fun. 😉

Arsenal Football Club have a policy of selecting players with this low centre of gravity.

No more distasteful than talking about thigh-size or arm-size, surely.

Reminds me of…

A soccer fan had three mates over for dinner. His mum brings out the roast chicken and asks the first guy, “who do you barrack for?” He says, “West Ham” so she carves slices of chicken from the right side and serves them to him. “And you?” she asks the second guy. “East Ham” he replies, so she carves the left side for him. “And how about you?” she asks the third guy. “Arsenal” he says, “but I’m not hungry, thanks.”

Curls get the girls.

That expression has been around for at least 40 years, and I know this coz it’s what my old granny used to tell my brother to make him feel better about himself.
But she meant this type of curls…

You're on to something here. I spoke to Jordy McKenzie at the 2011 B & F and asked him what big difference did he notice playing against the top teams like Geelong. I kid you not, he said their butts. They are just so big through the hips and [censored] you just bounce off them when you try to tackle them and they mow through you.

Hopefully people don't take this as an opportunity to take pot shots at an ex player.

I'm just happy that we have someone else on the board who has received a knighthood.

@Sir Why You Little can only do so much to keep things classy with all the assorted riff raff on here. It's nice to see another Sir amongst us.

I got so big during lockdown that my family dubbed me Sir Cumference.  Does that count?

Can we say [censored] on this site? It’s a far better and more down to earth word than butt, and it was spoken by non other than Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady so it must be OK!

woops, I’ve just been censored!

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
