The club should sell the merch through Amazon.

I ordered something yesterday afternoon and received it this morning.

Amazon is expensive for suppliers

Maybe I'm misunderstanding it LH, but surely you shouldn't need to re-order anything, and the items not shipped first time around will be sent when they're available.

The 'not available' would only apply to new orders.

Or have they refunded you?

I would assume that you will still receive those items. Surely they have to honour the order even if it is now sold out for new orders or on pre-order for anyone ordering those items today.

I know it's frustrating but I'm sure we'll all receive the items we have already ordered. There are many factors as to why we have not received some or all of our orders placed within hours or days from the final siren. Some items weren't ready to ship straight away and were pre-order from the beginning. No doubt the demand has been huge so there will be logistic issues with fulfilling and packing those orders to be shipped. Then there is the well documented delays with Australia Post due to COVID.

I guess the silver lining is that the club is going to have a massive windfall just in terms of merchandise and I would imagine it will be even larger than was originally anticipated by the Club.

Hopefully this will also be the case with Memberships too going into the coming years.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.  Some more info:

This is what my account says for the various items not shipped:

  • This product cannot be reordered because it's out of stock.  OR
  • Unfortunately this product is no longer for sale so it cannot be reordered.

The items not shipped weren't on 'pre-order' when I placed the order.

I figure that at some stage I might get the items with the first message but not those with the second message and unfortunately the latter includes the grey 'Premiers' t-shirt.   I've emailed the Demon Shop to clarify those messages but I know they are under the pump so will patiently await their reply.

The shipment email said:  No tracking numbers are assigned to your order yet.  I'm guessing this is up to Aust Post to issue when it gets to their parcel centre.  Not too fussed about this as they are also really under the pump.  I'm sure what has been shipped will arrive in due course.

Refund wasn't mentioned for the unshipped items.

Those messages don't sound encouraging at all. Best case scenario is that you will still receive those items but that is a standard message in reference to the items meaning they are no longer available to buy as the allocation has been exhausted. I don't know how their systems work but I would assume that they can't sell more than the allocation meaning that once the orders have reach the allocation amount then people can no longer order that item. They shouldn't be taking orders above the amount that they can fulfill. Having said that we don't know what the situation is so best we don't assume too much.

I would expect that if the order can't be fulfilled then you will receive a refund.

I would await their reply but I too will be upset if anything I had order on Grand Final night is not fulfilled. I spent hundreds of dollars and I know I will get refunded if that's the case but it's been over a month since I forked out the cash.

All up my order was also several hundred dollars and placed on GF night so will be upset if it turns out orders received later were filled first.  But will wait and see what the clarification is before I get too excited.

I saw your post about Amazon so looked at their website.  They have some of the items omitted from my order saying they are in stock, albeit some at low levels and delivery expected 3rd/4th week of November.  I'm trying hard not to make assumptions about stock allocation and order fulfilment processes...

For clarity my order from Amazon was not Demons related. I was simply mentioning that something that I ordered that was not delivered by Aust Post was delivered extremely quickly.

I too am aware that not everything ordered on Amazon is delivered as swiftly but I was impressed that something I ordered on the internet arrived in less that 24 hours given that items (not all Dees related) from AP have taken months including in stock items

I received my T shirt and hoodie today.
Your Uncle Bitter is now a svelte 188 cm/ 95 kg
The T shirt is a very comfortable fit at XL but the hoodie at XL doesn’t work.  The Maid can wear it on “ special occasions “

My point -  Err upward in size!

Yeh same Uncle.  Mine is XL but knuckles look like they're dragging along the floor the arms are so short.  Some would say they always have haha.  My other recommendation is....never wash these!

On another positive this arrived courtesy of War Office this morning!  My immediate reaction was "oh wow you beauty, bit hang on where's the other 5!?".

P.S.  glad to hear your maid is getting a bit of 20211029_124037.thumb.jpg.56b5d5105128cd27039511ceab2cbeb5.jpgnew kit!

My AFL Shop order arrived today... Premiers T & Long Sleeve Premiers Top (from Davenport!)

Still waiting on Melbourne Shop

Still Waiting on Herald Sun

Made a generous order GF night and another the next day.

After numerous advisory text messages, today I received delivery of two stickers. Problem is they weren't even the stickers I ordered, but I guess its something. Regardless of covid hold ups, I wouldn't describe the process as being a well-oiled machine

Hope I get all the ordered stuff before Xmas. Still happy to be basking in the afterglow of a premiership for now

In case folks don't know, the best way to check the status of an mfc order is to login to your account on the Demon Shop webpage.  iirc the club sent a link at the time of confirming the order.

That is how I learnt of the items that weren't shipped/not available.

As an aside I had a look at the AFL Shop website and it has in stock the items mfc tell me aren't available including the grey Premiers t-shirt which my account says 'no longer for sale'.  Gives me a little optimism that mfc may still have some stock.

Just curious ET, in some pics you’ve previously posted your face has been blacked out. Why do you show it in this pic and in  your avatar?

NVMD, I just realised that this guy isn’t necessarily you.

Sometimes my beard and hair aren’t looking great so I’d prefer to not show people.

Got my big window sized flag a couple of days ago. Love the size of it. It’s staying up with the rest of them for the rest of the year 033DD23F-989B-43E2-B531-D4A7F6BD1C67.thumb.jpeg.e27542087ece696ed1c71013a3147a2a.jpeg

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

Saturday’s election night game in Perth between the West Coast Eagles and Melbourne represents 18th vs 15th which makes it a tough decision as to which party to favour. The Eagles have yet to break the ice under their new coach in Andrew McQualter who is the second understudy in a row to confront Demon Coach Simon Goodwin who was also winless until a fortnight ago. On that basis, many punters might be considering to go with the donkey vote but I’ve been assigned with the task of helping readers to come to a considered opinion on this matter of vital importance across the nation. It was almost a year ago that I wrote a preview here of the Demons’ away game against the Eagles (under the name William from Waalitj because it was Indigenous Round).  I issued a warning that it was a danger game, based on my local knowledge that the home team were no longer easybeats and that they possessed a wunderkind generational player in Harley Reid who was capable of producing stellar performances playing among men a decade and more older than he.  At the time, the Eagles already had two wins off the back of a couple of the young man’s masterclasses and they had recently given the Bombers a scare straight after their Anzac Day blockbuster draw against the then reigning premiers.

  • NON-MFC: Round 08

Round 08 of the 2025 AFL Season kicks off on Thursday with a must-win game for the Bombers to stay in touch with the top eight, while the struggling Roos seek a morale-boosting upset. Friday sees the Saints desperate for a win as well if they are to stay in finals contention and their opponents the Dockers will be eager to crack in to the Top 8 with a win on the road. Saturday kicks off with a pivotal clash for both sides asthe Bulldogs look to solidify their top-eight spot, while Port seeks to shake their pretender tag. Then the Crows will be looking to steady their topsy turvy season against a resurgent Blues looking to make it 4 wins on the trot. On Election Night a Blockbuster will see the ladder-leading Pies take on the Cats, who are keen to bounce back after a narrow loss. On Sunday the Sydney Derby promises fireworks as the Giants aim to cement their top-eight status, while the Swans fight to keep their season alive. The Hawks, celebrating their centenary, will be looking to easily account for the Tigers who are desperate to halt their slide. The Round concludes on Sunday Night with a top end of the table QClash with significant ladder implications; both Queensland teams are in scintillating form. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons hit the road in Round 8, heading to Perth to face the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium. With momentum building, the Dees will be aiming for a third straight victory to keep their season revival on course. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.
