I think Caleb Daniel is a very good smart player............... However, watch Jake Bowey overtake him and become much, much better!

Daniel handed over the baton in the GF.

“That bloke.” The Dees guy in the crowd. He epitomised pretty much every Demons fan at that moment in time.

Has anyone identified “that bloke” or has he self identified?

Such a iconic reflection of what so many of us felt at the time.

Congratulations whoever you are.  We all love you and woukd love to see you at a game

Are you a Demonlander?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see “that bloke” on The Front Bar. That’s the kind of thing they do. On their first show of 2019 they had a guy on (Collingwood supporter) who was in the front row at the 2018 GF. He was only on camera for half the time as our guy. 🤔 Methinks an email or 1000 might be in order.

Soon after the Grand Final I changed my computer password to celebrate the magnificent drought-breaking Premiership. Since then, whenever it’s time to update a password I create another one in honour of our team. Have any other Demonlanders done that too?

As I posted near the time, waaaaaaay back, somewhere, the mannerism of the hand and the finger at the neck was a hint of a 'disability', and the other bloke a caring brother or some such. The 'age' of the reaction didn't seem to align with the 'age' of the person.

Regardless, it was an iconic moment, speaking volumes for us all, whatever our emotional or physical ages. Thank you, sir.

Sauntered around footscray and took public transport there and back. Felt great not to feel self conscious in my demons gear

go dees

I’ve been doing this since that glorious day in September. Mostly I choose Premiers2021or if a punctuation mark is required I’ll go Premiers!2021.
btw, I can disclose my password with gay abandon since no one can steal what ain’t there. And I gotta lotta “ain’t there” 😆

I drove past Whitten Oval yesterday (I'm only about a 10 minute drive away), would it be cheeky to drape Ted Whitten in a Demons scarf just before round 1?

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Who cares.
We're gonna unfurl our flag in front of them gameday.
Should leave a sign as well.
"We stuck it right up 'em."😂

Was just out the back yard cleaning a couple fish while listening to the SEN call of the Prelim.
Gawny just booted his bomb from fiddy-five and I caught myself getting abit choked up .... Again.
Thought the novelty might worn off abit by now ..... Nope.

I wont let the side down re page numbers...

We may have won the free count but gee dogs got some easy ones.

But nothing could stop us.

I loved the blank stare on all the doggies supporters. That one bald bloke ( can i say that) shaking his head in disbelief....been there...done that.

The 3/4 siren couldn’t come soon enough for the dogs. Not that it helped at all. Just meant a seven-minute break from the pain and humiliation of a hiding. 😁

Very much so.

Baby Bombers had 22 going by the narrative

Probably not allowed

Thought he was Mike from Breaking Bad

The Bulldogs mother in that footage was hot - to the right of the picture. Her daughter, I suspect, is to the left.

And straight from the “it seemed like a good idea at the time” files… how silly would the group of Bailey Smith wig-wearers feel? Group dress-ups such as that are fine, but only if your team’s NOT copping a thumping of biblical proportions in a Grand Final. 😁

Google.

If the Demons win the grand final with the same team that defeated Brisbane in last week's qualifying final, only Collingwood (2010), Essendon (1993), the Western Bulldogs (2016) and West Coast (1992) will have claimed a premiership with a younger group.

Coach Simon Goodwin fielded a team with an average age of 24 years and 180 days at the Adelaide Oval against the Lions.

The Magpies' flag 11 years ago remains the youngest of the modern-era, with Collingwood winning the 2010 grand final replay against St Kilda with a team boasting an average age of 24 years and 57 days.

Side note.

Only West coast won another with their list 2 seasons later.
We're gonna have to show the league how it's done.

Just checked. What are you talking about man? You can only see 20% of her face and certainly not hot. You need to get on red tube

In 2018 I was very, very tempted to tie my beloved Dees scarf around Clarkson's fence( he lived opposite my parent's place) but didnt want to not get it back. It was funny to see him mowing his lawns a week after we kicked hawks out of the finals.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
