Seeing my sister yesterday, we both said it was anti climatic. Quite incredible really, given we've dreamed of this for so long. I felt strangely hollow after it.

That can often be the reaction but it might be related to not being completely satisfied with just the one premiership

Yes we were clearly the best team this year but who doesn't want more of the same?  That's my overwhelmimg reaction but it's not anticlimactic in my case

More so a hunger for more success.  All the Tiger & Hawk supporters I know are the same.  Never satisfied

Like many of us I have waited 57 years for this. I guarantee we will not have to wait another 57 for the next one. (For one thing we will all be dead, but mainly because I think this side has a few flags in it)

Well considering how long we have waited....its not too greedy to want at least back to back.

This is a team that is fairly young or at lest poised age wise to have more success.  Given the way we carved up all the other finalists it would be not much of  a leap to do the same next year.

How nice to enter a season with that sort of confidence in our team

Guys in the video that Goody showed the group a few days or so before the game (i think).... where some of the old boys sent their messages of advice/goodwill.

Brian  'Willow' Wilson sent a message from his hospital bed.  Looked to be in a pretty bad way.  Anyone know of his welfare and what's going on??

That's true, but there is a good chance that next year at least a couple of other teams will improve like we have this season

The FD will know that we can't rest on our laurels ... we might get a few long term injuries to a couple of our better players and a few might go off the boil.

Competition for spots needs to be fierce so all things considered, we need to add some talent to the list

And a few players (or more) need to stay for a bit less money ... but if we do lose a player or 2, we need to play hard-ball with regards to trading

And when you're in a position of strength, that can all happen

I truly doubt that we could ever achieve a better year than 2021 we have been up there for 25 weeks and don’t we just love that winning feeling. This is True Bliss.💕💕💙❤️💙❤️👌thank you you bloody CHAMPIONS.!!!! !!!!

A quick shout out to Ross Lyon  - [censored] goose.  No wonder he didn't get the Carlton job when he had no idea about who the best team actually was.  Couldn’t say a good word about the demons and couldn’t get off the bullies.  When someone says ‘touch up in the west’ he doesn't think of the 2021 GF, just a hush payment he had to make because he is a complete tool.

I really hope the club produce a documentary of this extraordinary season.

Fully agree. In addition, we should encourage the MFC (perhaps via Demonland) to broadcast (cheaply) to subscribers a match-day telecast of live Demon games - wherever these are held - beginning next season.

We really must consider this; in these days of games all over the nation, compounded by existing telecasters and their curious, complicated and expensive ways, we do miss a considerable amount of that footy that we love best.

It would be an exclusive, it would be incredibly popular and in the standard of the occasional MFC broadcast that we have enjoyed so far this year, it would already be an improved and informed commentary, and of outstanding HD clarity.

Think of the precedent that such a venture might create perhaps assisted by - and only - our existing corporate sponsors. A closed network of complete, dedicated live match coverage on an accessible bandwidth.

{We could even link it up to our Range Rover dashboards, our chalets in the snow, our cheese and wine tastings at our local merchants, our outfitters for blazers, cravats and cuff links(?) }

That beautiful term: 'Carna Demons!' would take on a whole new meaning of abject delight and wouldn't The Filth hate it?

Winners are grinners. And dreams do come true.

Two junior Australian rules players celebrate winning a match.

Which one of us is going to nominate these two for the next Queen's Birthday honours?

No doubt this is an incredible team. I do wonder how much depth we have.

I would hate to see a player poached but I think we probably have another five or six quality player who could fit right in.

I doubt we will have  another run of 2018 injuries but we were very lucky this year.

Then again if we keep recruiting like we have then there's very chance we be a force for the the next decade. We are also a fairly young side  except for Max. I hope we can keep Jackson and Kozzie. We will really start to have a lot of new young fans join us and the future looks very bright.

Been supporting this great club since 87. Been through some highs and a lot of lows but Saturday night was just amazing. This side is so tough and uncompromising. Highlight for me was when my Richmond supporting son passed me a beer after the Oliver goal and said "That's the knockout blow Dad, the Bulldogs have thrown their best shot. No team can stop this, they won't stop them now, they are just so powerful". Ended up going to bed after 2am Sunday after watching the replay on Kayo and listening to the 3AW highlights.

Does anyone know where I can watch Channel7 post game coverage? Saw some screen shots of the players like Benny Browny joining the panel but had watched Fox Footy's presentation during the big win!

His eyes were fixed on the target, he lowered his shoulder to be the implement of injury to Oliver, he hit Oliver (playing the ball low and cleverly) at maximum force - head high, smack, thud.

It won't even be commented upon - even though everyone could see it about to happen, as it happened, as Oliver cowered post-event in considerable pain, gathering his senses. Tough nut, sure. Played on. The rules of the game say deliberate impact events like that one MUST be penalised ... so who threw out the rule book?

I just finished listening to the KROC call of the game and when it happened they all took it for granted that he would miss games for that hit

Anyone know which player had the most intercept marks on the ground? I can’t find the stat and I really need it to win our yearly grand final footy draw I do with my friends. There’s a lot of wine riding on it!

Not going to be coming down from this high for a long time.

The moment that final siren went, it felt as if a huge weight had been lifted.

Funny, even after being in lockdown for so long, i've never felt so free.

I did notice at the time but just remembered on this re watch. When we get the lead back, never to surrender it again, we sat at 9.10 64

then to kick 57 in the last….

Insane.

The way Tmac bulldozes Cordy over the line as he shepherds Clarries shot over the line was a huge feat of strength.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
