I picked Hawthorn today, as much as I loathe them. Clarkson is a coaching genius and his game day coaching a particular strength. Watching it now, it looks like the Dogs will come over the top in the 2nd half but It would be great for the Dees to see the Doggies get rolled.

If the dogs get rolled, they could be playing for a top 4 spot against Port. Brisbane are currently 2 games behind them.  Charlie Dixon will have a field day if the dogs play like this.

Dogs losing doesn’t really help us if:

Port win twice

Geelong win twice.

If that’s the case we’ll all be booking flights for Adelaide for the qualifying final.

I just can’t see Port beating the Dogs but gees they’re playing poor footy so who knows.
All I know is we can win the next two and finish first and that’s what matters.

I have it engrained in my mind that we simply lose to Geelong in Geelong.

Whether it’s Zac Thuoey kicking a goal after a siren or losing by 100 pints 2 games after a prelim appearance. Bad things happens down there to Melbourne.

Be delighted to be proven wrong.

Port could most certainly beat the Dogs.

Clarko showing the Competition that he is still The Master Coach

Have Whorethorn done the right thing….?

Big Shoes need to be filled. Kennett is responsible….

Time will tell whether they have done the right thing or not. Regardless, I've always felt that any decision Kennett makes is about putting himself front and centre.

I think Mitchell will be a good coach but history tell us that Clarko still had 1 more crack at rebuilding a side.
I think Clarko as game day and head coach with Mitchell as development and senior assistant would have been lethal but then ego and money will get in the way of most things.

Absolutely. This is all on Jeffrey Gibb Kennett

Mitchell is being thrown to the wolves with a very average list. If he survives it will be astounding

Box Hill is not the same…

Stuart out for the year could help.

For some reason I thought Mitchell was lobbying in the background to take over the role. If he was not white-anting possibly the best coach of all time he certainly could have told Kennett that he was not interested in the job yet.

How is he being thrown to the wolves?

Yep. Mitchell as Assistant for 2-3 years. Not at Box Hill would have been my agenda.
But we watch and plan to beat them each year.
We owe them decades of pain

Confirmed Tom Stewart is our for the year. Lisfranc surgery. Massive blow to the Cats especially on top of Touey and Duncan

If port split clearances the dogs will be in strife.  Port have gone tall this week with Dixon, Georgiades, Marshall and Ladhams. Hinkley is just playing them into form in preparation for the kindergarten sized dogs defence.

He isn’t ready, although he thinks he is, I am sure he has Convinced Jeffrey of that.

Kennett hasn’t wanted Clarko in the chair for years, for whatever reason. Hopefully Clarkson will get another top job.
He hasn’t finished his tenure. That is abundantly clear. The Hawks 22 are very average at this point…

I reckon the toughness of the dogs is questionable. Bont McCrae etc are amazing but as far as toughness goes I’d back us in every day if the week

If there’s a miracle this weekend and dogs, port and cats lose and we win tomorrow we 100% finish 1st? Even if we lose next week

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
