Not saying it's fixed but humans are all different. Reprogramming someone is inhumane.

Humans have different experiences which create the person they are. You may not agree with how a person is wired because their God tells them to act a certain way but it is wrong to PUSH your God (not just in a religious sense) onto others.

Treat others as you would want to he treated. And there will always be evil in the world. Not that this is wanted, just it is illogical to think EVERY human is nice to eachother.

Which is the beauty and the truth of existence. Our evolution, and it’s so exciting to see it play out transformatively in my lifetime, is that we’re changing to see it as a cause for celebration, not division. By definition, there is no ceiling to our evolution.

I look at my grandchildren with their little mates.  Their smiles, as they embrace their friends of various races, creeds and colours, fills my heart with joy.  Children's hearts - as has always been the case - are pure and unadulterated, until, as they grow, elders seek to poison their minds with things such as racism.  We are not born racist, rather it becomes a manifest of perverted and misguided views, based on innate prejudice and bigotry.

@Lord Nev which bit you face palming now? The bit where I say online bullying is abhorrent?

Careful mate because what you are doing is bullying.

Same person just face palmed me because I dared to come to the defence of someone else being vilified

And I'm an anti-racist!

Go figure

Welcome to the witch burning. 🤣

It's right out of Monty Python here.

@Webber

Racism is a creation of fear, jealousy and how someone has been brought up. It's an easy way to get to someone psychologically in life and competition. Low hanging fruit insults.

Babies have want in an early age, they see something and if they can't reach it they cry about it. Is this the start of jealousy?

A baby will see another baby with something they want, they try to take it by force and if unsuccessful they will cry about it. Is this where babies learn jealousy to begin with or is it in their nature to want something. Advertising companies rely on this human nature.

The poster causing the most grief here starting yesterday is now on my ignore list. I suggest others do the same.

Please don't reply to him. He wants a reaction. The more oxygen you give him, the longer this lasts.

This isn't even really about racism for him. It's about sadism and triggering people while maintaining plausible deniability and tenuously skirting the rules of Demonland. Do you really think you are going to get through to someone like that?

And also, how many people do you think he is actually converting to his nonsense?

Thank you.🙏

Anyway, you are never going to change someone's mind attacking them but good luck with that. I don't come to Demonland to have serious conversations.

Go Dee's and I hope Kossi can rise above this BS.

YoungWilliam

theses are your words

”Racism is in the human nature, it's what makes humans competitive”

Do you really believe that, because if you do we are just wasting our time. The Human Race should just give up.

I've been trying to avoid any more commenting on this thread, but Jesus H Christ(!!!), that comment takes the [censored] cake!!

This whole discussion, at least up until your comment, has had absolutey nothing, zilch, nada, to do with "reprogramming"... it is about educating people. Do you seriously believe that educating racists that their behaviour is unacceptable, is more inhumane than the pain that they are inflicting directly upon their victims and as a result indirectly upon an entire race of people who have been struggling with this kind of treatment, for decade upon decade upon decade???

Either stop being an apologist for racist behaviour, or take a long walk off a short pier... please!

Spot on.

captain of the trolls he is.

if he is not using a burner account, maybe Demonland can pass his details onto the club and prevent him from attending finals. Would be true to their message of taking a stand.

There are a few people here trying to explain further on from "Racism shouldn't happen" versus those who are simply saying it shouldn't exist

I'm way past that stuff so if racism is to disappear we first of all need to understand the why, how, where & when.

Origins, instincts, fears, differences, education etc etc

Do the deep dive and then it becomes clearer.

For instance, most people (if not all) that I've come across in my life have had some sort of strong prejudice against something (often unfounded) Humans are flawed at the basic level

So how do you fix that?

There is NO connection between racism and the abortion debate. The abortion debate is simply that, a debate where people have different views quite legitimately and both can walk away from it with their dignity in tact.

Racism is where one section of society seeks to belittle another simply on the basis of their skin colour or ethnicity. No-one’s dignity is left in tact, least of all the victim’s. Ridicule, disparaging and yes discrimination on the basis of one’s skin is an injustice which should not be in any civilised society. To equate it to the abortion debate is absurd.

Maybe you spend too much time in la la land.

You do realise that in Australia abortion facilities have been attacked and people working there killed. Women attending have been abused and called murderers. It got so bad that exclusion zones have now been set up outside abortion facilities.

In the US of course its much worse and many health workers have been killed and abortion facilities bombed & been set on fire.

'Say No To Racism'

But I find it rather ironic that on another thread that is often running side by side with this one involves the vilification & abuse of a white man

To whom do you refer, Macca? And in case you’re gonna say it doesn’t matter who it is, it does matter. I mean, was this white man being vilified for being white? Don’t forget: Martin Bryant is white, but there’s no one jumping to his defence.

The thread I'm talking about is right in front of you ... I'm not surprised you haven't seen it because like many others here, you probably don't see the harm in those types of threads

And I'm talking about another form of prejudice with a vicious nature attached

So look a bit harder WCW

I honestly don’t know which thread you’re talking about. If that’s a result of me not seeing the harm in any type of prejudice, then I especially need to be told.

Others know ... ask them

It's best that people figure it out for themselves because it then sends a message

And I'm not being cryptic

All good, Macca. If you’d rather not specify, so be it. That’s your prerogative.

Are you referring to Jim Stynes Macca? If not then i'm like everyone else and don't know the thread you are referring to

We all have blind spots. It's part of the problem when it comes to prejudice. We just don't realise the views we hold are intolerant so i think you may have to help us out here

Others know ask them OR best that people figure it out themselves?

If you are trying to make a point you have failed or maybe there is no point.

No MD

I'm just not going to tell people what the thread is.  Says a lot to me that no one has got it yet

It's just so obvious to those without prejudice or without blinkered views

Also, I wouldn't dare post on the thread in question as I'm not going to take on the mob (without support)
