Do you actually believe that?

Fauci is now, having said that widespread vaccination would mean no masks, saying that masks indoors and out may "be needed" indefinitely, for all even primary school kids.

This pandemic has seen a litany of mixed massages.

Agree but as the virus mutates the conditions/ rules change. iMO it is  going to get a lot worse before it gets better. You can put your house on there is going to be an up graded booster shot in 2022.

Yes monocular I do believe our health professionals, that is why I am fully vaccinated and according to the experts if I catch COVID I will more than likely survive without serious side effects. I pay no attention to social media,  or the Press for that matter. They are not singing from the same song list, full vaccination means lower death risk and I am all for that.

Thank Lucifer the ressies are back is all i can say!

Just need 6 to 8 players to play a blinder so they can replace some severely out of form players up top!

Casey bring much excitement to the AFL team - nearing the interest in the 'seconds' that was held years ago but these were pre-match games so you got to look at a very full squad regularly. I'd really like to see a handful of Casey players rotationally subbed into the Dees' team on a more regular basis. The longer term benefits could be enormous rather than play the same olds - in form or not - to the death.

Carna Dees, 'Carn Casey!

Teams up - but to save you time - Weid, Hibbo, Chandler, AVB, Jordan, Melk, and maybe Daw must be travelling with us as not named.

The Casey Demons v Footscray

HB: C. Stockdale A. Bradtke 46 J. Lockhart 41

C: O. Baker 33 K. Declase 40 N. Jetta 39

HF: T. Bedford 12 M. White 52 Z. Foot 53

F: F. Rosman 19 79 C Ellison 79 B. Laurie 16

Foll: J. Bell 73 J. Munro 47 N. Jones 2

I/C: J. Briggs 54 T. Freeman 67 G. Grey 68 R. Sparkes 47

Emerg: A. Courtney 65 M. Lewis 63 T. McCaffery 62 M. Shepherd 77

The Covid19 situation and the need for clubs to be mindful of the possibility of relocation elsewhere for periods of a week or two is having an effect on the competition. With the Western Bulldogs playing here in Victoria, they can have most of their reserve players playing VFL. Casey will be doing without many of their regular AFL affiliated players who have been in the team - the likes of Chandler, Melksham, J Smith, Weideman and vandenBerg that would form the backbone of the team. They’re going to be in trouble tomorrow.

The VFL concept is surely broken. Most of the guys above have played three games since May 23rd. How can they stay match fit over that period, let alone find some form.

And now they will be travelling for three weeks with no games. For the apparent elite sporting competition in Australia this is embarrassing.

And before anyone jumps in with the COVID card, I get it, but it’s not as though COVID is an unexpected issue for this season.

Yep, just need to download the app, register and watch.

'Freebie' so for those that may not know it costs nothing. No subscription.. etc

Jones off to a good start.

Declase is very impressive.

Is this being covered anywhere... good old Casey radio playing the VFLW ?

A great opportunity to play Maj for one solo match and manage / rest both Max & Dogga for this one.  Send those two straight to Perth to prep for the Eagles.  Oops match cancelled!  Serves Gil right....trying to be too smart by half.  Just bring everyone into one hub and finish off the season FCS.

The vfl stats is all over the shop. I've counted twice that Bailey Laurie has had 2 handballs but yet is listed as not having a touch.

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
