Ticketek has MCC members ticketing opening at 9AM tomorrow (Tuesday 13) but I've heard nothing from the MCC or MFC.

Does anyone have any more information?

No email this week. Assuming it’s same as normal. 1pm for reserved seating level 2. 3pm for reserved seating level 1.

probably get an e-mail at midday tmrw.

One thing I have learnt through lock downs etc over the last 18 months is you cannot plan. Just go with the flow. It will happen when it happens. The MFC probably has no better idea than us at this point.

I can't see anything there about when ticket sales open for this game. Have I missed something?

AFL members got an email yesterday or day before as well, tickets on sale for AFL members 10am tmr same as other weeks so I assume same for all other member categories

  • Demonland changed the title to TICKETING: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn

The only email I've received is an invitation to buy tickets to "The President's Club," for the Hawthorn clash.

I've tweeted to the club and the MCG to see if they're opening the Hassett and Ryder rooms as they're clearly running indoor functions but no response as yet.

I'm hoping those facilities are available to the members who pay for them as they act as a good circuit breaker/change of scenery for my kids who become annoying for other fans when stuck at their seats.

As for ticketing I'm of the same mindset of those above, go with the flow and assume I can reserve my seats at 1pm.

Good luck to those going along and go Dees!

Very good!
MCC N47 just a bit higher but also very good.
I suspect tickets will not be hard to obtain for anyone MCC, MFC, AFL or general public.

4.30 on a cold winter Saturday only for the committed I’m afraid ?.

That's what it says on the Ticketec site

Will be warmer than at Mars Stadium as the wind chill factor for the GWS and Sydney game will make it bitter. Buddy isn't going to like it. Being from Ballarat I don't have a problem being "committed".

No email, which is weird, but I think most people get the gist by now.

Ticketek website confirms the above timelines. If you go in and put your usual barcodes it will say 'tickets available at 1pm'. But if you're level 1 reserved seating and you try to put the barcodes at 1pm it will say tickets available at 3pm. Every week I try for 1pm just for [censored] and giggles (and also because I have a 3pm zoom call every bloody Tuesday!), and every week it says 'good try come back at 3pm'

Nailed it!

I just got an email haha

I just received an email from the club. Sale starts at 1:00 for priority 1 members.
I thought it was odd that I have 3 barcodes this round. I normally only get one.

That's interesting. I've received about 5 barcodes on mine. We have a family membership but the kid's barcodes are in seperate emails and they don't match any of the 5 I received. No idea what the deal is there but I think I'll just use the ones I always do and see how it goes.

maybe your ticket(s) qualify for x number of guest passes

I don't understand why this club doesn't make it as easy as possible for members at this point of the process.

Some people don't sit at a computer all day waiting for an email from the club to drop so they know what is expected of them. The rules are changing each week, and what was applicable for the GWS game is not necessarily what is applicable for this week. I still haven't received the email for my son's account.

The emails should have been sent yesterday evening at the latest.

Geez we'll be lucky to get 20K given covid and the weather (and the glory hunting hawks fans)

hopefully I'll get an email tomorrow

Yeah I thought that might the case. Some sort of explanation would be nice though.

Did you book on behalf of others recently? I did that for the GWS game and now also have multiple barcodes...I don't recognise any of them other than mine though. Do they change? Is a bit odd...

OOOOHHH just saw the above from DC - makes sense.

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
