They’re a very high scoring sides. To keep them to 57 points was absolutely amazing.
We don’t win pretty but we don’t lose ugly either.

I thought they were specials tonight. On last weeks performance and the previous couple of games, Hawks look much improved aswell.

Do you want a couple?
Gotta be honest tho, they’re not into footy by any stretch. Which is why I’m looking to offload them. ?

28 years!!!

Yep, round 21 - 1993. I believe Collingwood now hold the longest time since a game at Kardinia - not since round 15 - 1999.

I do hope the folk that post on this site whom critique Melbourne poorly, due to the fact that they are top of the ladder, playing against a team who are lower than them, who are watching this game, get a reality check on how close teams are in the competition that is the AFL

We’ve played down there 20 times since the bombers last game there…

bombers played a pre-season game this year there, but

Another week of listening to Bombers supporters cry because they lost “due to the umpires” would be amazing. Plus, I don’t mind Geelong winning as they won’t be a finals threat.

Geelong players spend a fair amount of time (as a collective) appealing for frees

THIS

It really grinds my gears that the 'big' Victorian clubs have been protected from playing down there for years while we have to front up every year.  The argument about crowd size is void because barely anyone non-Geelong can get in down there.  Geelong gets an armchair ride and the big clubs get protected from playing at a ground where the home team have an obvious advantage.

Imagine scheduling Richmond to play down there.  If Hardwick the germ can't handle Docklands his head would explode at the thought of the hour drive.

They did play there in 2017 and the stink they made especially Caro its unlikely they'll be playing there again in the next few decades.

The thing is it's not just the fact they don't have to go there but by those club's not going there it means club's like us, Dogs, North and the non-Vic club's get sent down there every season. Same as Tassie.

There is a special place in hell reserved for Geelong. It’s called cheating duckers avenue.

But Geelong are getting an absolute armchair ride from the umpires.  (14-9 for what it is worth).
And I have lost count on how many throws and  not HTB the Cats get away with. Cats also go head down into an opponent -> high contact.

The tigers have played there 12 times since the bombers last time there, so they’ve at least copped it every 3 year on average

How much of a [censored] head is Brian Taylor?

Carey (commensurate [censored] head) brings Daisy into the commentary stream and BT just interjects and tramples all over her.

What a gormless [censored].

Cameron out with the hammy. Helps Essendon. He’s kept them in it.

Can't believe they risked him. Extraordinary decision.

yeah, from 4 goals up to 4 goals down in the blink of an eye

must be the umpires making sure the bummers lose again

I'm so conflicted.
Love that Essendon are getting done but hate that Geelong are winning.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
