Wouldn't be surprised if we're still off tonight, & I'm strangely okay with that - gazing across Noosaville river.

Wanting Jack to have a good chunk of it tonight & mind still on upcoming Port game.

May the meat (...or tofu) be tender & the mocktails iced.

Beannnie packed- now adorned with new Clarry badge, alongside Jack badge.

We have demonstrated this season that we take lower ranked teams for granted. After a bye there is resets and unknowns to fathom out. Essendon are playing well but I believe we can exploit their Swiss cheese defence. I doubt they can change their game to stifle  us and will try to turn the game into a shoot out. Parish must be tagged.

Curious statement...

Can you demonstrate that that is an absolute fact?

Just so I am clear, from your perspective, if a team loses to a team lower on the ladder, then they have ultimately taken the other team for granted?

That's the only contributing factor?

If anything, I'd argue you're being dismissive of the rest of the teams in the competition and ultimately how close and nuanced the discrepancies are in performance that allow you to win.

It's a rack of cape grim beef short ribs. I believe they are grass fed Angus from Tassie but happy to be corrected. They may not be the most expensive but I find them the best value for money.

A bit like Geelong, never really won any awards but rarely bottom out.

IVe never tried tri-tip, beef ribs have always been my go to they are pretty much [censored] proof (lucky for me) but the rump cap I done last weekend may have taken the cake it was ridiculously good.

Ah yes, didn’t look close enough! Yeah tri tip is an awesome cut, I’ve been lucky enough to work with Sher Wagyu 10+ tri tip which is like butter, sooo good.
Cape Grim is a good go to . I recently sampled 1000 Guineas grass-fed (NSW) which was amazing - keep yer eye out for that brand.

enjoy and CARN DEES!

My MFCSS is as strong as ever.

Don't need to worry about MFCSS. We will come out all guns blazing and win comfortably. They have a bit to play for and so do we. We win, Dogs lose and sit nicely on top. This is a must win game for us and I have plenty of confidence that the team will get it done.

Have just returned home after breakfast out with the family. We were seated right near the whole Viney clan, including Jack and Todd - will take that as a good omen. Dees by 148.

C'mon .... Dees by 187.

I have been a bit of a rabble all week but woke up feeling strangely confident and after listening to Dogga after breakfast I am feeling really up and about. I am thinking 29 point win with a strong last quarter where we hold the ball in our half and show them why we are the best.

Go Dees.......!!!!

Ok so we win tonight we go 2 games clear of brisbane and geelong and potentially the dogs if they lose tomorrow. So tonight is a no brainer. Looking forward to seeing Jack back tonight.

Pardon me for sticking my nose in but I think JCB is saying we as supporters took it for granted that we’d beat the lowly sides. And if so, he’s right. We did think we were a shoo-in before the two losses.

Amended a typo so as I can sleep tonight.

I never think we're a shoe-in.
Seen too many shoe-outs.

Nooooooooo!!!!!

Proofreading is my thing!

It’s all I’m good at! (I’ve  actually never seen that word written.) But hey, couldn’t think of a nicer (and smarter) person to pull me up on an error. ?

Yeah, but it gave us your shoe-out gag. So, almost worth a misspelling.

Perhaps you are right with the context.

Anyway on reflection, I'm not really sure why I bothered posting to a forum to try to convince someone that their belief is incorrect.

I recently told a friend of mine (Essendon supporter) that I’ve joined a Dees fan forum. She said, “are they snobs, or are they nice people?” I says, “yes.” She says, “yes, they’re snobs? Or yes, they’re nice people?” I says, “Both.” ?

So now ima send her a screenshot of the above convo and that should illustrate my point beautifully.

Come on Demons - it's our time - bring the hammer down!

I think this game is the one where it defines us as pretenders or the real deal, some of our players such as Tracc and Oliver etc need to show they can play under pressure of failure.Next few years should be fantastic to see as they mature and play much like the way geelong players did during their peak

Dunno why you're fraternising with those flogs.
You should be more discerning.

I hate these guys with an unhealthy passion. Growing up as a kid most of my mates in school - who I'm still mates with today are Essendon. Throw in 2000 and their sniping. Throw in the drug saga and the lack of ownership to accept responsibility and be accountable. Throw in Sheedy. Throw in Jobe Watson and his inability to string two words together in commentary. Throw in my mrs and all her family are Essendon. I don't have kids yet and I haven't seen a Dees premiership yet so I haven't been to the pinnacle of true joy but beating these dogs tonight and keeping them outside the 8 where they belong would bring me no greater joy. Turn up and get the job done Dees!

Dont hold back.

If I was to insist on only Dees friends, I’d be friendless. I have exactly zero friends, fam, or even acquaintances who barrack for the Dees. But Essendon and Collingwood? No shortage there. ?

Probably why I have no friends and hang out here.

Last week I had the pichana on the coals and was smoking a padron, someone said "no wonder they think we are snobs" hahaha classic

I'd describe myself as a country bogan who gets paid too much if that helps

I’m a middle income earner from Preston who happens to be a chef and really likes cooking/eating meat and football.
If that makes me a snob then so be it!
