Good, honest player; very happy with his development.  Bit of James McDonald about him imho.

I bet that Melbourne is working to extend the contracts of both Trac and Jackson as we speak.

I know they are signed until the end of next year, but that will come around very quickly, and if we are to target someone like Merrett in the off season, we need to re-sign as many of our top players as we can so we can assess where our salary cap is at.

We have no room in our cap to go out and get anyone, surely.

Another solid performance (vs North)

20 disposals @ 90% disposal efficiency, 7 tackles, 7 score involvements, 4 clearances

He flies under the radar.. going beautifully for a 20 year old 7 gamer.  (Or is that 7 winner?)

Wonder what the longest a player has gone since debut without a loss

Just clarifying, Second Verse, this is the players' first 'x' games in the seniors, since debut in the seniors, but aren't consecutive games, as James's have been? Bryan Kenneally's, for example, were rounds 11 (debut) and 12 in 1959, then rounds 2, 5 and then 6 to 15 in 1960. James does indeed have a little way to go, but I wonder where he sits in the consecutive games since debut field?

Now it's 9 games. Does anyone have the stamina to fully look into the 'afltables' source material for TPF39's post to see whether anyone ahead of James played their winning games from debut in the firsts consecutively? I looked at a couple of the other 9s and they didn't, and I checked ahead and Mumford didn't.

Thought he played the second best game of his career yesterday.

That steadying goal he kicked in the last qtr was impressive.

Played another very useful back up game/ role where he just gets his hands on the ball and uses it pretty well. Also he is a fantastic tackler and Yao's elevated him as he is prepared to get his hands dirty.

Also SpargO played IMO  his best game for us  Love his work in defence snd link up was strong. He is now quite an accomplished AFL player. All credit to him and our Footy Dept.

Delighted with his progress thus far. Goes about his business in a no fuss manner. The club has really got its act together from a development perspective and JJ is a testament to that. Didn't know a whole lot about before Rd 1 but i've had him in my votes for Freo and again yesterday.

Great start to your AFL career. Well done young man.

That original quote was from 2015.

Still not sure what Garbo was talking about though

I love how he tackles. So much intent. And he’s not slow either.
Also we can never drop him or we might never win a game again.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
