Talk about over exaggerating.  I love Oliver and think he is a star but 1 player certainly does not make club.

Heard anything @dazzledavey36?

He's not going anywhere for this year.

I'd be more worried if we got to round 10 next year and he was still unsigned and we were not in the top 8.

The Oliver being unhappy is real though.

Yep, that's what I've heard too.

We need to come out of the blocks like Usain Bolt next year.

If this club starts losing players of Oliver’s caliber it’s all over. If you don’t agree you’ve got no idea

As long as we aren’t being dramatic about it.

One of the reports noted that Oliver's managers have strenuously denied all these rumours.

Thanks - missed that- don’t track all that stuff. Why is this still a talking point then? Or is it all melbourne lockdown-acosis?

(I’m in not locked down NNSW)

So when WC lost Judd, did they shrivel up

I differ in the respect we had very good foresight to recruit him. He is an exceptionally talented player with the right drive. It is a killer for support and list building if he goes.

Well, the year after he left they finished 15th (second last). The year after that 11th. The year after that 16th (last). It took them another 4 years to get back into the 8. This is with the best resources in the AFL. They didn't shrivel up, but they went from competing for flags to nowhere...

West coast were a powerhouse with recent premierships. We’re a battling nobody that no one cares about. You start losing your best players and Oliver is a once in a generation mid and we’re [censored]. How many more years do you want to wait for a Premiership? You’re kidding yourself if you don’t realise that.

I'm only disputing that West Coast remained a strong club after Judd left. It's untrue and their performances showed this.

How the hell would he know, this is just another garbage thread based on baseless rumors and everyone is getting taken in

Do you know anything mate or are you just running around trying to put the fire out?

I never said he wouldn’t hurt but 1 player doesn’t ruin a whole team

What a club. Cant even keep one genuine star mid in 20 years happy for longer than 4 years.

The damage goodwin is doing to the club is unimaginable.

Question has to be asked whether you want to hang on to a disenchanted player a year too long?

Like everyone else on this site I don't know anything about what is happening with Oliver but I am sure as hell not getting my knickers in a knot by rumors and innuendo.

He’s not disenchanted. He wants a Premiership and he’s very unlikely to get that here

Well he can get in line behind most of us supporters.

FFS if we are [censored] again next season bye bye quality players and it won’t only be Oliver who will want out imo.

Goodwin betta hit the road running like the Flash cause  if we are zip and 5 he is gone and so is ANOTHER season.

We know nothing as fact but the issue is.

He will not likely sign in the off season. The longer it takes the more his decision is based on team success and playing finals. The pressure will be intense and I am convinced another power club has not shown their hand yet.

It’s likely a similar situation to Petracca last year. You’ve got a pro stuck with a bunch of amateurs and he’s looking around. Face it unless we go too 4 next year we’re going to start losing talent.

  • GAMEDAY: Geelong

It's Game Day, and reinforcements are finally arriving for the Demons—but will it be too little, too late? They're heading down the freeway to face a Cats side returning home to their fortress after two straight losses, desperate to reignite their own season. Can the Demons breathe new life into their campaign, or will it slip even further from their grasp?

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit.
Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

For a brief period of time in the early afternoon of yesterday, the Casey Demons occupied top place on the Smithy’s VFL table. This was only made possible by virtue of the fact that the team was the only one in this crazy competition to have played twice and it’s 1½ wins gave it an unassailable lead on the other 20 teams, some of who had yet to play a game.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

In my all-time nightmare game, the team is so ill-disciplined that it concedes its first two goals with the courtesy of not one, but two, fifty metre penalties while opening its own scoring with four behinds in a row and losing a talented youngster with good decision-making skills and a lethal left foot kick, subbed off in the first quarter with what looks like a bad knee injury.
