How can you tip them when they refuse to take their chances all game and fail to kick goals

Its still a very frustrating  team to follow

I will be on Adelaide next week big time, recoup some losses I hope

Very good first quarter from Richmond. Hardwick's coaching with slow play and two talls deep forward working well.

Bontompelli having little influence so far.

Richmond started tonight out of the eight.

They're currently sitting 3rd and are a draw behind Port and Brisbane.

Obviously a number of teams can pass them this round, but still, the ladder is so even through the middle, with teams jumping 6 spots after one game.

Hmmmm.....starting to look like the same old same olds again!!!

I will be physically ill if Essendon get the win over Brisbane tonight.

Jack Newnes. We screamed his name last year and no one listened.  Exactly the type we need.

Nah, would take him over Tomlinson but wouldn't do much for us.

A poster last evening said that he was told by Gabba attendants that the home team decided attendance limits. I expect we have to pay the stadium and if you can't sell the tickets for what ends up being excess security etc.. bad luck

Carlton’s call i guess

how much it costs to open the stadium?

Carlton are crap

Watching Hawthorn now makes me realise how hot and cold we are.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
