I really want this guy

We will miss him now we don't have pick 8

The other gun is Devon Robertson

Its very hard to determine the demons strategy

Will have to wait and see

Yep - will be very disappointed if we miss him between 8 and 10.

I have confidence in Taylor... but I have a feeling we may be missing out on a very good player here.

I really am sick of this thread.

Get over it... The MFC will not want at pick 3 or pick 10 a player who cannot play for twelve months.

If you want to start taking bets at whether MFC will take this guy then I am on for $1,000 to say NO WAY.

Do I have to travel to Ohio to collect on the bet?

I'm not sure whether we'll pick him or not. Taylor does rate him highly, he said so in the Road to the Draft interview.

If we think he'll be the best long term prospect at our pick then we'll take him and the fact that he won't play next year is irrelevant.

Particularly as we'll most likely have a plug and play in Green or Jackson at 3. It enables us to select best available at 10.

You mean like taking Jesse Hogan at pick 2 who couldn’t play for a year and no that was before his back surgery injury.

how arrogant you are...

. . .

We have to take a chance on getting Kemp , he will be a champion. What is interesting is some people views that we shouldn't touch broken merchandise . Net Fyfe so long ago Fyfe and Bontempelli missed a fair chunck of football and yet Fyfe won a brownlow medal and the Bont had a good year.

Missing a year as an 18 year old is nothing. It just means he gets a proper grounding in our game and builds his body up before he plays. It's what shouls happen with all new draftees.

This guy looms as the massive steal of the draft. i reckon he'd be a top 3 pick if not for his injury.

and of all the teams we're probably in the best position to draft someone like that as we don't need the immediate impact quite as much.

Not sure if you are agreeing with me or disagreeing.

I was pointing out to the poster that we can and have picked players who won’t play straight away.

Wrong. He made it to 17

Urgh. Anyone but Carlton. He's going to be a gun I reckon.

Yes,  Some much needed help for Cripps.   Blues did very well.   It could have been worse,  he could have gone to Geelong the pick before.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
