Journalist Paul Amy is reporting on Twitter that Declan is a “man in demand” and Casey officials are “keen for him to stay a VFL Demon.”

Not Casey but he will stay in the colours with Southern Football League Club Bentleigh known as the Demons.

Sounds like he can go back to enjoying footy with no pressure

Thought I’d give a little update on Dec for anyone interested

This season he is playing at our home town of Moe as a development coach/player

Back into his true position as a key defender and has killed it in the first 2 games

On Saturday they played Maffra in Maffra and won 69-26. Moe haven’t beat Maffra away in over a decade

He was dominating so much they sent a defensive forward on him but it didn’t work, he took a huge number of defensive and intercept marks and was a big reason Maffra only kicked  3 goals for the game

Moe picked up a few good players this year including ex Giants and Carlton player Kristian Jaksch. Should have a good crack at the premiership this year

He has floated the idea of possibly returning to Casey in the VFL next season so I will keep you updated

Carn the Dee’s!

I am really pleased that Dec is doing well, and good luck for the rest of the season.

Thanks for the update mate, sounds like he's doing very well. Nothing like a bit of country footy!

Thanks @Drunkn167. Great to hear Dec's killing it.

Good golf course in Maffra. And Maffra pies are just about the best in Victoria.

Declan Keilty (born 8 May 1995) is a former professional Australian Rules Footballer and current Cryptocurrency investor who played for the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was selected at pick #41 in the 2017 rookie draft.[1] He made his senior debut against Hawthorn[2] in round 7 of the 2019 season. After playing 2 senior games, Keilty was delisted by Melbourne at the end of 2019.

How’s the crypto going?

Spoke to Decs mum at a fund raiser at the Ballarat Greyhounds a couple of years ago and mentioned Drunkn's moniker on Demonland and all she did was roll her eyes and nod.

Why dont they play him full forward he would kick 100 in that league

They picked up ex Giants and Carlton player Kristian Jaksch who played FF, so Decs back in his better position . He did however play forward in their preseason game and kicked 5.4

Also I think you’re underestimating the Gippsland league, lots of good players running around including ex AFL, VFL and many tac cup boys

Another win today in round 5 sees Moe undefeated and atop the league ladder with over 200% points

Dec killed it again today, was named 3rd best on but won the Cam Bars favourite player and a slab (he doesn’t drink so I’m sure the old man will be happy)

I’ve managed to get to 2 of his games, when my work schedule allows me too

It’s been good, they’ve got some real solid defenders for a local club and with Dec in able to control them from the backline it’s working so well

Another update, Dec has been given the Senior coaching role at Moe for the next 2 seasons as a coach/player (see attached for a well written article about it all), I'm sure with his AFL experience he will be able to take Moe to extreme heights over the next few years

Dec was named as the CHB in the team of the year, came 4th in the Coaches votes for the season, but didn't poll a single B&F vote from the Umpires, go figure lol

P.S. CARN THE DEE'S 2021 PREMIERS BABY WOO!!!!

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
