lol the article says nothing about us trading clarry. so misleading

Surely one shouldn’t let facts interfere with a good panic. ?

I like coming in here. I don’t like changing too much. I’ve got my gym and my pool here, and the club rooms.

I’ve got my own thing that works for me and I just like sticking to that – it makes it easy.

Pretty sure he wouldn't be up for a drastic change like that.

Just wait for some muppet to suggest In the media  ‘I reckon a late first rounder sounds about right’

Goddard must be [censored] to suggest that.

Clarry is probably one of the top 5 emerging players in the comp, no way Dees trade him.

The muppet  of  ??? says  trade is for Two  1st rounders and Two of Their best players for a Clarry   who would win their next 10 B&F's.

NO NO NO!  you can't have Clarry. Look somewhere else.   Would GOD go to the G Coast ?

IF THE GOLD COAST EVER COME CALLING FOR CLARRY, TELL THEM TO STICK THEIR SUNS UP WHERE IT DOESN'T SHINE.

Clarry is Red and Blue forever. I think that I will give up watching AFL if he leaves Melbourne.

Sadly, staying at any club “forever” is dead. Money will generally be far too persuasive for young men to ignore. At the end of the day, it’s a job. What young bloke from Victoria wouldn’t take the chance to live and work on the Gold Coast for double their current pay?

Struggling club should chase A grader by throwing loads of money at him hoping he cares more about cash than success and his teammates. Revolutionary idea that has never once had a bad outcome.

Back in my day, journalists used to write factual information that was sourced from sources with facts about things they knew about. This modern world of journaling, is just opinion pieces to sucker you in to click on it, so your personal data can be sold, mined and whatever else (whatever that means)... Also, I had to walk to school 8 mile with hessian sacks on my feet, in snow, up hill, both there and back to home, where I had to tend to the cows, collect pinecones to put on the fire and listen to Evert Taube on the Gramophone.

Same article suggests we should target Bryce Gibbs.

What are the odds of that happening?

I thought that had merit. ridiculous he wasn't being played. he'd be just what we need for a couple of years. Gibbs would be the best kick in our side, so throw him on a wing for a Craig Bradley role. he might last a few years.

He's on very big coin apparently, and by R1 2020 will be 31years old. Not to mention his off-field issues.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
