Does anyone know what Jesse's current foot injury actually is?

A mid foot ‘sprain’ was the latest I heard.

Timeline unknown.

A good journalist does the research before he opens his mouth.

A true journalist is not a part of the story, he merely reports on what has happened.

Morris seems to betray trust.

I wonder how long he will be around...

Morris is a [censored], but Jesse does himself no favours get sucked into stuff like this on Twitter

Morris has History, why should anyone trust him.

Far better to expose the garbage ?

Jesse has been through far bigger issues than Morris...

Unfortunately in this day and age any publicity is good publicity. Bottom feeders like Morris revel in it. To prospective media employers it comes across as “this journo is prepared to muckrake and cause a stir for website clicks and ratings. You beauty”. Why give him the oxygen and the satisfaction?

He said this, she wrote that. He did this, they didn’t do that. All fodder at the end of the day. Not what Jesse needs at all establishing his career and reputation in Perth. Especially after recent events in his life.

Which is why, I’d hazard to guess, he quickly took the tweet down.

Sorry. I worked with Journalists for over 10 years.

A bad Journalist who cannot be trusted, or will not keep their flapper shut when they should, must always be outed.

Jesse is quite within his rights to call him out. Who cares if the twitter was taken down, it has done it’s job...

Hunter S Thompson would disagree ?

Ahh yes The Great Hunter Stockton, there are always exceptions and he certainly was one of those.

Morris is not on the same universe as Hunter!!!

Agreed. Don't think Jesse went overboard. Just called him out. Whether it was on twotter or even on an anonymous footy forum, he achieved what he wanted to. Good on him!

That sounds suspiciously like a navicular.

The staggering thing in all this is that he’s still employed by On The Couch, whose own hosts don’t even seem to trust him.

A few weeks after the so-called falling out between Macca and Goody last year, he made similar claims about GWS - that Leon Cameron had also been banished to the bench.

When pressed further about how a senior coach could be turfed from his own coaching box, and by whom, Morris had nothing, except a vague reference to the ‘powers-that-be.’ The boys on the couch were less than impressed.

Even this year, when he tried to revive the so-called rift between Macca and Goody, Healy had to remind him that he needed to ring Macca and get both sides of the story - something Morris clearly hadn’t done.

I’ve worked in journalism and media for 25 years and can spot a fraud at 1000 paces. This guy is at the very top of the tree when it comes to duds.

Not a big fan of this particular one by Jesse, comes across as pretty immature, but as far as the bigger picture goes I am a fan of the growing calls for more accountability in footy media, with a few players going wack this year.

An AFL Journalist who cannot be trusted by the players and coaches won’t last very long.

Why should Morris be protected?

What job? Do you think anyone truly cares? Most just see one guy with a personal beef airing his dirty laundry. Very few people would’ve even heard of Tom Morris.

And how does anyone know who’s telling the truth in these ‘he said, she said’ spats? If anything it makes Hogan’s case look worse because he didn’t leave the tweet up there in lights.

Best policy is to stay away from the gutter. Leave it to the sewer rats.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
