Watching otc and they just said something is happening with May.

May is fronting the player group but don’t know why yet.

 Brace yourselves.

More to come.

Thoughts anyone? My guess is a late night break of curfew or drinking ban. (Complete and utter guess)

I hope May is not 34 years old and from Baxter

Few pints on a Sunday afternoon? Stand to be corrected but this has got over-the-top outrage written all over it.

Top notch from the moment he got to the club. Super professional. A real leader.

With leaders like that at GC it’s no wonder they were a hot mess.

And yes he can drink a few pints but the fact he has to front up and please explain himself means he broke team rules. The man is unfit and battling skin folds and groin issues. Beer is clearly not the answer to him getting on the field.

So the reporter has come out and said he has to face the group.  Do you actually know if this is true?

He was the pub for 3 hrs, give me a spell!!!

What an utter disgrace by a former captain .. he’s teammates busted their [censored] winning a game & this [censored] has played one game & come back to preseason unfit!

Give him a month at Casey when he’s finally fit.

Frost deserves to stay in the side ahead of him. Lever to replace O Mac in rd 11/12.

Having a few pints on a Sunday arvo isn’t a hanging offence but you can tell the players that will go to any lengths to get the best out of themselves and those that don’t.

Well if the reporter is a liar then fine. But if he does have to front up, then the only one who needs a spell is May. This bloke is on $700k a season. He hasn’t been fit since turning up to the club. He got himself suspended in a pre season game, played one average game and then proceeded to do a groin. An injury he has now dragged out for 5 weeks with no end in sight.

He is 27 years old. This was his second chance at success. He is blowing it.

He hasn’t achieved anything or earned any respect for the club .. come back in poor shape, would you not think as a former captain he would be doing everything to be 100% fit???

That will help his rehab and fitness.

You think he would have learnt something by now but maybe he’s a slow learner.

I still like him and think it will be a good trade but geez it’s been a rocky start.

Pull your finger out May.

Few beers, done by 6pm, don’t get sucked in, move on....

I'd like to agree with you but then why is he apologising?

Assume it's because he has agreed with the team to do every little this possible to lift to the standards required to be elite including staying off the P15s...

If so then this is simply an example of not being able to do all the things required, and not being true to his word... poor for $800k plus and already pathetically behind expectations

Roos just said he thinks footy is not a priority. Footy is not his number 1 priority. He may have something going on in his life but footy is not his number 1 priority at the moment.

Hopefully the ‘Nathan Jones’ non-alcoholic beer..?

If true, massive indictment on the recruiters

Thrilled. The last player who didn’t make footy his priority at our club has a 10,000 page thread about him.

This won’t end well.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
