Ha, ha. Which one? Perhaps all three!

equilibrium - a state in which opposing forces or influences are balanced,

                       a state of physical balance,

                       a calm state of mind.

He actually forgot his underwear before the 1999 French Open, and didn't want to take up his coach's offer of wearing his, so he played without any. Because he won he decided to never wear underwear again!

I guess there was none for sale at the tournament ?  frilly knickers, non ?

That would be coaching 101 to have T Mac playing as a defender tonight.

Coaching 101 is also not to start throwing players around because the whole team is under-performing, or to start shuffling players who are down on form.

(Though with May, Lever and O'Mac out, and the next generation not ready, the rule book could be ripped up.)

King of the bleeding obvious- Cameron Ling. "Melbourne must win tonight." Spare me.

Painful isnt it....

Interested to see if we stick to the zone defence guarding space. Never liked it because requires everyone to know exactly where to position themselves and be able to adjust on the go with awareness of what's happening around you. Don't have the confidence that all our players have the smarts or instinct for this...

T Mac and Frost walked out together, warmed up together for a while, walked back in together chatting the whole way.

Backline Bros tonight?

With any sense... straight to the pub !!

Any reason why after years of linking arms around each other’s shoulder for the national anthem and Anzac ceremony we decided not to do it this year?

So does that mean we're left with Weids and Bull up front? It won't matter how many i50s we have tonight in that case.

Depends how we use it going forward, and how often we make a contest.  If we can at least break even in a marking contest and get it to ground, you would hope the additions of Garlett and Lockhart would go someway to helping us create some pressure and to keep the ball locked in there, which is what we want.

But if we bomb it to 2 or 3 on 1s, then we're in trouble.  Big trouble.

I saw that and thought instantly 'I wonder which poster will bring that up on Demonland?'.

You didn't disappoint.  Means nothing.  We did it last year and lost, so it makes no difference.

I was thinking Lockhart goes back as the Jetta replacement. We'll know soon enough. I don't have much faith in us doing anything other than bomb it in at the moment.

Any reason that woman interviewing Hardwick was wearing a Dressing Gown? budget cuts...

I'd love to see T Mac down back tonight.  I know he has the odd brain fart moments, but he brings some experience and we know he can match it with the best.  It might help to bring back some confidence in his game as well.

Needs to find some form somewhere why not.  T Smith out of the square.

Low long raking kicks get there quicker and create more chaos.  Quick bail out kick if no early options coming inside is ok but at least go long & low so the opp can't intercept as easy and chaos when it hits the deck...

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
