Give Keilty another 2 weeks to prove form before coming in

But mostly because I don’t wanna fly up to Sydney for his debut hahahah

Look!!!! Anyone who thinks the criticism of the umpires is just scapegoat searching needs to do some simple, and documented research. The free kicks that were dubious (even to Wanka Carey!!!!) came whenever we looked like mounting a challenge... The umpires had an agenda!!! It is so @@####ing obvious!!! Do the re-watch folks... Stop searching for the players to blame and jot down the umpire number who made the decision! We have suffered from this for a long long time... and we will continue to suffer until the corruption (ok, if yo want to be kind... ineptitude, is exposed by data)

We fair dinkum need Benny Hill music when we play.
Especially Frost and Omac.

Some of the mistakes by Frost and OMac are laughable, I honestly don’t think they’re good enough for Casey

Tonight’s observations:

Tom McDonald looks like he has concrete in his boots, He looks like a poor mans Pederson/ Dawes

opposition teams must lick their lips at Frost and Omac in the back line.  God they’re dreadful footballers

ANB is the new iron hands of the team

Totally out of form: Hibberd, Jones, Tmac, Petracca, Fritesh,

struggling with form: Jetta, Viney, Melksham

we’re so unfit it is staggering.  I might give the next few weeks a miss

Season is absolutely gone. I wish I could say I'm done with this mob but I'm off to Sydney next week, what a waste of time, money & effort. So [censored] off.

Seriously, how have we allowed ourselves to be overtaken by everyone else, again?

We set ourselves up last year. We finally broke the finals shackles, and hoodoos against some teams, like the cats. But here we are, apparently an 80-point worse team against the cats, a loss to the bombers who have thus far been a joke. So much so that there are murmurs of that drug cheat Hird returning to the club?

Was it the rule changes? Nope, because we have all had the same time to adapt. Are we tired? What the hell!? It's round 3 and it looks like we're slugging it out after a long season. Where is the heart? Why are the Cats playing out of their skins (weren't they 'done' last year), why are the Bulldogs playing good footy with a mixed list? Why are the Lions firing? Why the hell did Goody's contract get extended without some proof this year? He's been outcoached every game this year! He is always reacting, never ahead of the curve, and his stupid smirk at the presser is driving me nuts. He's being paid a lot of money, tell us how he's going to fix this... not that it will get better over time, or that am 80 point drubbing is a positive sign.

What is happening?!!

Jones needs to relinquish captaincy. We aren’t going anywhere with him at the helm.

Jones was far from worst

Umpires the worst I’ve ever seen

Was there a sale on Aluminum foil?

I've got a feeling Goody is going to talk about "Connection". FAAAARRRCKKK!  We won round the centre, just like we did against Geelong. Essendon just play better footy, just like Geelong did. We are F....wits! So many dumb footballers. So sick of it!!!!!

Tom Mac to CHB.  Frost or O Mac out.  Take your pick.

Keilty to play at CHF, pinch hitting in the ruck.

It's something to do with the cattle we have.

The more I think about the game, the more I feel our main problems are twofold:

1. Poise. We get heaps of the ball, we get repeated inside 50 entries, then fold under little or no pressure. I am not expecting players to play without any errors, but more to have a consistent mindset over the ball that minimizes skill and decision making mistakes.

2. Intensity. We can't play a full quarter at the same intensity, let alone an entire game. And often we have whole quarters where every player looks like they are running through mud or jogging around.

3. We don't seem to understand structure

I hate to say it but we need Frost on Franklin next week, he’s our only option.

Who should bring the lube?

The scary thing is T.Mac is a worse defender then he is forward

First play of the match. Jones hacks it forward, we're outnumbered, they run it out and goal.

Very resembling, Simon

I never once heard the commentators indicate that Melbourne received a fortunate free... I heard them question at least 8 frees to Bombers... Time to mobilise folks... bend over and take it or take action to expose this trend against us!

What happening where poorly coached; have a spine which is bottom four and spent our riches on two injury prone defenders.

Is he a worse defender than what Oscar or Frost are currently bringing to the table?  May is still a few weeks away, Lever even longer.  We need to try something.

We should just get rid of Misson now before he [censored] up another player.

Him and Troy Chaplin can [censored] right off

Seems to me TMac is a big part of the problem, all those forward entries and he just doesn't get near it.

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
