Does anyone know when the next session is?

 Thanks

This article suggests a training session Friday, I’m assuming tomorrow.

“Co-captain Nathan Jones says restrictions on runners have forced players to adapt

“That will as good as be confirmed if they successfully negotiate "a huge training session" on Friday designed to see who is ready to go for the season proper.”

The above is about Jones, Viney and Melksham.

So, where are all of our devoted spies?  (Or, have they all had their devices confiscated...??)

Casey is a bit out of scooter range, but said hello to Mitch Hannan who was running laps at Goschs when I went past on my normal scooter ride every morning I'm not working

Garlett, Preuss, Lever and Tim Smith were also out there, this was about 10ish

10-ish, I was just putting on the 18th, sunk it in one. I was thinking about the game against Port all of today's round. We need to come out roaring and then, play safely and brutally until the final siren. Plenty of rotations for our 'elderly' brigade.

Yes I am missing my visits to preseason training, and yes my reports were sporadic at best I know. Currently living down on the Surf Coast while my Fitzroy place is being renovated. I was hoping to get up to training this week but now I am grounded, the Corvette has a radiator leak!

Somehow footy doesn’t seem so important any more. Disgusted by the happenings in Christchurch.

Just sickening chook.  Coincidentally, on the day that our Club announced that it is partnering with the Victorian Department of Education and Training and the Victorian Aboriginal Education Association to take a stand against racist bullying.

@Demonland I can't find anything on the training session Friday where Viney, Jones et al were supposed to be proving their fitness,  Have you heard anything?  Or has anyone else for that matter?

It was a closed session at Casey. It's unlikely we'll hear anything about it unless it comes from MFC.

We've entered H&A week folks.  and CountDown is on.

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.

  • NON-MFC: Round 09

Round 9 kicks off out west with the Dockers hosting a Collingwood side resting several stars. Fremantle need to make a statement on their home deck after some disappointing form on the road, while the Magpies will be keen to maintain their Top 2 position. Friday night sees a must-win clash between two sides desperate to stay in touch with the eight. St Kilda have shown glimpses while Carlton are clinging to relevance after a flat start to the season. Saturday’s twilight game at Marvel pits the Bombers against a struggling Sydney outfit. Essendon can’t afford another close match against a lower-ranked side, while the Swans risk sliding down the ladder even further. Up in Darwin, the fourth-placed Suns will look to extend their stay in the top four. The Bulldogs have hit their stride with three big wins on the trot and will be very keen to consolidate on their momentum. The always fiery Showdown looms as pivotal for both clubs. Adelaide are eyeing a spot in the Top 4 with a win, while Port Adelaide’s season could slip away if they drop another game and fall further behind the pack. Sunday begins with a yawn fest between Richmond and West Coast. The Tigers need to bank the points to stay clear of the bottom two, while the Eagles are still chasing their first win of the year. The Giants face one of the league’s toughest road trips as they travel to GMHBA Stadium to face the Cats. With GWS at risk of a third straight loss, Geelong will be eager to consolidate their position inside the eight and start their climb up the ladder. The round wraps up with the top-of-the-table Lions heading to Ninja Stadium to take on the second-last Roos. The Lions should easily take care of the struggling Roos who might be powerless against the best in the comp. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?
