This might be the spot to find out where other Demon expats live? Now that we are not crap anymore it might be a good thing to watch a game or two with other supporters who understand the pain and euphoria that Melbourne provides like no other team.  Me Phuket.

I'm in Phatthalung if you know where that is, middle of bf nowhere. Was in Phuket for 9 months a year or so ago, where do you watch the games? Aussie Bar? If I'm over that way around game time I'll hit you up.

Aussie Bar at times and also in Kamala. I am easy. Sounds like a plan

I’m in Perth.

Lucky Girls Sports Bar in Phon Phen Cambodia is run by a fine Demon man.

I watched 2 losses there last year

Queens Birthday and the Port Game, so he banned me from coming back!!

But i hope to drop in this year during the season

Not an expat per se but I spend about 8 months per year in mainland China primarily Shenzhen and Changsha.

I`m in Bangkok. I still maintain my premium MFC membership which my son benefits from and of course my AFL Overseas subscription

Japan in Aichi Prefecture.

I get the AFL pass during the year to watch games. I avoid the ex pat bar in Nagoya as it's like that tavern Obi Wan and Luke went to find Han Solo.

That sounds like a great bar!!!

I spent six years in Zambia, DRC and South Africa in the early noughties.

Back then it was the ‘Toyota AFL highlights’ on DSTV which was essentially two to three weeks delayed telecast of the round/s.

Most of the time, this was preferable over the dial up internet in 3rd wold ‘Efrica’.

Best thing as to have your own pill on hand and hunt down other Aussie expats who enjoyed a kick.

Hong Kong.

Have a very accommodating local bar that had no idea they had AFL on their cable package until I told them.

Always happy to have it on the big or small screen for us (usually just me and the wife) whilst everyone looks on confused.

I’m in Abu Dhabi and about to move to Dubai. I never miss a match and go to work the Aussies Abroad Grand Final Day every year. Hopefully to watch the dees this year.

I live in a rural part of the north of England. No sports bars here, just village pubs.  I watch games on BT Sports. They do about five a week, and a highlights package. They also cover the Big Bash and Ashes tests. It's not too costly a subscription, especially if you have a BT phone line. I used to use the watch afl service but WiFi here is fairly poor and I got frustrated with constant buffering. If BT are not covering the Melbourne game I listen to the radio coverage. I've always enjoyed that, it takes me back in time.

I had the pleasure of watching a couple of games in Tarporley Cheshire courtesy of watchafl last year. I get what you mean about buffering.

Currently Northeast of the Dominican Republic. Doesn't seem to any Aussies here at all let alone footy fans let alone the any of the few of those still supporting the Demons.

And, if you count illegals, you can probably double that figure!

But we don't need a wall apparently... ?

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.

The Demons were sloppy all day and could not stop the run and carry of the fast moving Hawthorn as the Hawks cruised to an easy 36 point win. Is the season over yet?
