The web stream keeps freezing - anyone else having dramas?

Yes. And I have a fast fibre as well.

Typical for anything in terms of video that comes through AFL.

You mean when our mids kick blind high bombs on his head and force him to compete with three opponents from a standing start rather than opening their eyes and trying to find a free target or give him something to lead to?

no, don't mean that at all smart a&*#e!

I said a few years ago that I really wanted Nathan Jones to stop winning B&Fs, not because I didn't like him, but because if he kept doing it, it would be an indication that the club had not advanced.  I'm absolutely thrilled that he's no longer the run-away winner every year and we're seeing the young guys stepping up to lead the club.

it would seem that one of Harmes, Brayshaw, Oliver or Gawn will miss out on the top 3.

Ron Barassi Snr Memorial Trophy (3rd B & F) James Harmes

Awesome!  What a great reward for his work this year.  He totally deserves it.

WOW! Well done Harmesie!!! Massive get for him. The names he's outdone!

Gus didnt get in the top 5, wow.

fantastic second half of the year, but missed a few early and did hit top form until later in the year. Hopefully it drives him to even greater heights next year!

How did Jones get 4th? Surely there have been more higher contributors then Jones then 3 players this year...

Jones sets an example by playing the way the coaches want the team to play.  Some of the things that really annoy me about his play are team rules that he is making a point of following, like his habit of snatching the loose ball and playing on when a teammate gets a free kick.

Surely bombing the ball into the 50 time and time again is not part of the team play. Or jogging 20m off contests.

Was anyone else frustrated watching Collingwood kick to Mason Cox during the prelim? I was frustrated the whole time, 'why don't they kick it like that to Hogan' with a few expletives thrown in.

Maybe we should follow the Colonwood morons who chant “USA USA” and chant “WA WA WA”

Makes about as much sense ... in fact more sense.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
