first post in years. looks like we will have to get a deal done, a work colleague, she's a big dees fan, who's brother was in Bali with Jesse, from WA, good mates,  Jesse has said to him he will not sign a new deal with Melbourne if he isn't traded, he will walk end of next year, Freo are aware of this too, they just think his demands are too high. Sad really. So will it force us to take unders? Or Hold tight?  seems determined to go home.

Casey seconds might have a new power forward next year!! HaHa

If thats the case then i want him gone by 8:30pm tonight.

Don't want a bloke that has his heart set on leaving by round 1 next year.

See ya hoges.. enjoy life with Ross the boss

It's over, mate. He's gone. He'll be a Docker tonight. (speculation...)

Looks like Brisbane are about to trade pick 5 to Port for Pick 6 and player.

IF this is true what an absolute [censored].

We have been so accommodating to him, he will be at best a 35 goal per year forward at freo...

Actually scrap that with Neale gone and Fyfe will get his annual injury he will be lucky to hit 30.

Looks like #6 might have started its move.

So Port get Burton, Mayes and 2 x First Round Picks #5 & #15 for Wingard and Pick #6

And were struggling to get 1 first round pick for Hogan? What has the world come to?

He might wish to walk end of next but he will still need to be traded. I want him gone tonight.

They got up one spot so technically they received pick 15, Burton and Mayes for Wingard.

Yes and we lose a 23 year old contracted Key forward for a pretty poor deal...

So pick 6 and 15 for neale??

6 and 11 for hogan

15 for lobb

Wingard the perfect Cyril replacement for the  Hawks.  They will never go away.

Oh well, guess we will just have to eliminate them from the finals again.

mmmm Shiel is just a bit over rated IMO....

I think May fills more of a need for us.

I think we need another good midfielder over another key defender.

no chance... 6 & 30 something.

Which would mean pick 6 and 15 for Hogan, then Pick 6 for May.

JT goes to the draft with pick 15.

Loving it.

We're getting shafted.

For all Mahoney's talk of being happy to keep Jesse unless we get a deal up there with the best ever, we are about to capitulate and trade out the best young key forward in the game for significant unders, while in the premiership window. So frustrating and disappointing. For all the rubbish Bell has copped, he has actually done a bloody good job for his football club. Mahoney could actually learn a few things from him with regards to playing hardball.

Port have 15, so won't be part of Neale deal.

Hogan will be 6 and 23.

But we get that mid teen pick I suggested to be used on a Hibbard understudy from the west.

The latest 8 club mega deal coming up on AFL Trade Radio Facebook has us losing Hogan for May, KK and pick 23.  I don't mind that.  No idea of course of if it's complete fiction or close to the mark.

All talk outside of trade room is waffle.

Talk inside is the deal

Who here is privy to that ? SFA I'd think.

Wait and watch

We'll end up with a better list and that my friends is ALL that MATTERS

Over the years we have seen SO many supposedly poor deals, that end up nothing like what was rumoured.

Starting to heat up now. Refresh button set to "dynamic"

11 is better as dockers would have used that pick on him. Will be a gun

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
