Getting nervous now but we have to keep riding out Box Hill's momentum. We're really blowing our lead going into the last quarter.

To echo everyone else though, this umpiring is an absolute disgrace and should be investigated. Disgustingly biased.

Fritsch and Vince are a massive level up from this. Both really stand out.

Garlett is such a disappointment. What do we do with him next year?

Is he contracted next year?

This is a way more thrilling game than yesterday. Even Hawks must acknowledge that

Hutchins best work has been in boundary line interviews.

He was absolute garbage last week too. At least he’s touching something this week, even if it just a microphone.

Yep til the end of 2019

Umpires under clear instruction from higher powers to give Box Hill the win ..... either that or they bet on a Hawks win.

Dont believe me? Watch the replay.  Most one sided umpiring you will ever see.

It was 14 scoring shots to 7 at HT but only a three goal lead. We should have been up by 6-7 goals before Box Hill's inevitable fightback, which is now on.

Petty and Keilty were stunning in the first half but they've been negated in the third quarter. Some of the Melbourne-listed players are really struggling - most disappointingly, Hunt and Garlett, the two I was hoping to star the most.

Angus Scott goals on the run - the lead is  back to 15 points.

Go you good things! Playing against 25 today with these corrupt umpires.

Everyone get ready for world war 3.

The Hawks only need to get a finger on the ball in front of goal to be paid a mark.

Come on Casey bring it home!!

Highlight so far is watching Oliver shovel chips into his mouth in the stands. End of season well and truly started ?

so this is the best 3 umps in the vfl?

Much like apparently Nicholls is in the best 6 umps in the AFL. The mind boggles.

This will be a cracking last quarter.

But lay off Hutchinson. Our Casey listed players obviously aren’t AFL standard (usually) -mind you  I would love it if Cassy offered Bernie a 1 year contract with the captainship of Casey for 2019

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
