Really hoping for a strong MFC supporter turn out and a win to send off some of the faithful servants such as Vince, Pedo, JKH, Bugg and possibly others who won't or probably won't be at the club next year.  Thanks for your contributions lads.

I can't...but a wonderful sentiment. Like yourself...thanks to the players...who'll be leaving.

Quarter Time: Casey Demons 4.4.28 to Box Hill Hawks 1.1.7

Goals Kennedy-Harris Lefau Machaya T Smith

Disposals Kennedy Harris 11 Keilty 8 Bugg 7 Petty 6

Reminds me on the 1988 grand final. If only it was like this at quarter time. Would have peed my pants

As a matter of interest, why do seniors listed players not maintain their numbers from afl to vfl level?

Wg Vince goes from 23 to 63, JKH from 24 to 33

Availability?

Cos many of them don't often (or ever) need one

Much better game to watch on TV being at Docklands than the normal VFL standard.

Our lack of a genuine ruck is a worry for both Casey and Melbourne. You’d think that Pedo and T Smith might be safe for another contract until we have an understudy for Gawn.

Preuss coming in (if that eventuates) would change that

Agree. Would be great for us but still can’t  work out why he’d want to come.

Good point, I've been thinking the same

Why would Preuss or any other "near 1st" ruckman come to spend most of the year in the 2s?

I think our roaming rucks last year without Max for 7 (?) games was a good tactic, using Pedo, Tmac, Weid, T Smith sharing the load

Do we hold onto one of each Pedo/T Smith and King/Flippa and add another 2nd ruckman to develop?

Free kick Hawks

Playing one short with Hutchins. An absolute liability. Only stat last week two tackles. Might be captain but shouldn't be playing. Hopefully he contributes before his last game at Casey is over.

The umpiring in this game is absolutely woeful!

Honestly they've had 10 consecutive free kicks including 5 inside 50 this is extraordinary

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions.
