Im wondering does anybody know for sure which night the following final will be on if we win? Just trying to book some stuff going forward......Im assuming it would be the following Friday night, but is this written up anywhere or do the afl decide later? In which case anything could happen....

I'd assume Fri and Sat nights. To give all teams a 7 day break:

Fri: Loser QF1 v winner EL 1 and Sat Loser QF2 v winner EL 2.

Hopefully Fri night v Toigs or Hawks for us. That's my guess.

Very much doubt it's been set. Hasn't in the past and first week this year was different than last year.

The next two games will be Friday and Saturday nights for TV purposes.

We have to be playing in Melbourne so I assume it will be Friday against Hawks or Richmond.

The other game will be in Melbourne ... Collingwood v (a Sydney based team) or in Perth .. WCE v (a Sydney based team)... as they all play on Saturday this week and particularly because travel is required they will get a Saturday night or if in Perth .. very late afternoon (6pm approx) game

Will ultimately bank on GA and MCC.

Melbourne doesn't have many AFL Members. Geelong is midtier. Afl members pretty much sold out as is MCC with walkups on the day.

Melbourne has 45k members. Consider maybe 3000k are AFL Members with club support. 42K club members. Maybe 35k max will have taken up club allocation.

Also factor those scammy on seller sites that buy hundreds of tickets in bulk. For the GF they will move all tickets but you're looking at maybe 5k-10k that won't sell.

So maybe 80k, 82k max.

MCC have predicted 85,000.

It'll happen. Just let it.

Anyone got a spare around them preferably on level 1?

I've got 2 seats together in M3 row Y (level 1) for sale. Prefer not to separate. $35 each which is exactly what I paid for them. PM me.

BTW M3 was the only level 1 area released at that price (category 7). All other category 7 tickets were on level 4.

Hi all. This is me and my son. We filmed his reaction as we thought he'd be pretty happy with the tickets and we'd share it with my Dad and sisters who are also keen Dees fans. We did not expect the level of emotion he ended up showing and my sister shared it with the club who of course posted it.

Can I just say the club have been absolutely amazing through this and as a result we're flying down from Brisbane a couple of days earlier and Sam will be spending Thursday with the team and meeting all the players and coaches. It's really demonstrated to us why we love this club and why we support it.

I've also been told that Goody has showed the video to the playing group to demonstrate what finals means to all the members, supporters and fans.

As we all know, its been a hard slog supporting this club for so long but I am convinced there's a very bright future ahead, both on and off the field. Can't wait for Friday night then. Go Dees!

Thanks DS.  That is just as emotional as watching the video.  We have a great club.

Kudos that you have engendered such love of the Demons in young Sam from interstate and through all the heartache in his whole lifetime.  What a great reward and experience for him to meet the players and coaches!

That. Suck!

So glad I’m finally in a senior enough position that I get to dictate when I travel.

I still miss games during the season but I try to travel around interstate games where possible.

I’m flying to the US for work on Sunday the 30th of September... just in case we make the grand final!

On 360 they said 1,700 tickets left.. I’ll believe it when I see it but going to be a huge crowd on Friday!!!!

I believe there’s some NRL crap on at AAMI on Friday night too. Plan your trip. Leave early. Public transport will 110% fail us all!

MCC expecting 90,000 now. I’m sure it was only 73,000 when I looked last week?

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
