Just listening in to SEN when a caller by the name of Chris from Camberwell rang with three points to make:-

1. Melbourne needs a key forward and should go after McCarthy from GWS by offering its first round pick.

2. Melbourne should be claiming Darcy Parish as father/son because his father Les Parish played more than 100 games for us.

3. Melbourne should claim Andy Lovell's son under the father/son rule as he's a gun.

I don't have a problem with the first point although McCarthy wants to go back home to WA to play for Freo.

On the second, Darcy isn't Les' son and in any event, Les only played 7 games for us so he's not eligible to go father/son.

On the third, Kieren Lovell who is the player referred to, isn't Andy's son either.

I did however, love the bloke's passion, even if he is a bit misguided.

Anyone know him?

With gems like those, he could be one of many posters on Demonland.

I'm a little gun shy on his first idea. Luring a player when they are halfway home to WA has ultimately not panned out too well for us recently.

With gems like those, he could be one of many posters on Demonland.

I don't think I've ever seen someone on here who thinks they are more on top of the F/S options available than the club. That is some next level stupid right there.

Old Chris from Camberwell is a classic. Not as good as Terrence from Toorak but surely Chris has to be taking the p155.

The fact he genuinely believes the club has overlooked a top 5 draft prospect as a Father Son selection is just brilliant.

No idea who he is, but the idea of trading for McCarthy is nuts. We are worried about hogan being a flight risk, why would you add another?? Imagine selling the farm for Cam only to watch him and hogan [censored] off to WA.

Chris from Camberwell has been ringing in for over a decade - SEN/3AW. His whiny voice is arguably the worst ever heard on the airwaves and he is always, and I mean always, asking incredibly inane questions.

Have heard him many times, always 'all over the shop' in his questions and you can sense the hosts sinking in their chairs as they look to their producers - asking why on earth they put the call through.

He had robbo on the ropes. Robbo said that if Andy lovells son is good enough then they should take him. I tweeted robbo to let him know the [censored] had been taken and as yet I have had no response

I've always assumed he is a frequent poster on Demonland, still a small part of me thinks he's a made up character someone puts on as well.

I am afraid he is far too eloquent for a Demonland poster.

He's probably in withdrawal right now.

OK, OK. I admit it. .................. I am not Chris from Camberwell. But gee, it does make any Dees supporter cringe when he gets on talk back radio. If he utters any prognostication, you don't even have to think about putting in the waster paper bin.

He usually starts the call by saying he tips a lot of money into the club then proceeds to threaten the club that he'll pull his funds if things don't turn around.

He once claimed the club should appoint David Neitz as senior coach. This was about two years after Neitz retired and had no coaching experience.

He's either taking the pi$$ or he's actually insane.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
