That's fair, following a road trip to Perth.

So this has us featuring on the Sunday afternoon game on Channel 7 all the way through to the end of the home  & away season.

And after an 8 day break this week on 7 day breaks all the way to the end of regular season.

Nice.

I really hope we don't have to sweat on the final game (St. Kilda vs North Melbourne) again.

Win games and it aint a problem.

We should be aiming top 4...

Haha. I was trying to find a negative just for fun, it's a longer wait to find out we've missed the 8!

Hahahah and they still manage to give Carlton a night game (Saturday). Unbeleivable!

PS Very happy with our Sunday PM times slot just FYI.

Good pickup! FMD.

Good result.

The other positive about playing Sunday is GWS may have no incentive (may have laready secured 3rd or 4th position) hence have nothing to play ofr (ala the Crows against WC in 2017).

Hopefully we dont have to worry about that this time!!!

It makes no sense for Carlton-Adelaide to play any time other than Sunday. Neither is finals bound so recovery time is irrelevant.

And we end up with a crowd-killing mid-afternoon Sunday time slot just to limit our take at the gate one more time.

Melbourne-GWS makes at least as much sense as Port-Essendon for Friday in a football sense. The Bummers could well be grounded by then.

Can you believe Tony Jones on the Sunday Footy Show suggested that Melbourne vs Greater Western Sydney Match should be played on Friday night. I mean really just a 5 day break coming home from Perth he is a idiot.

If we are finals bound on that Sunday against GW$, there will be a decent crowd at the ‘G

Late Sunday is perfect for us

3 of our last 4 games are at the G, win the next 2 and we're home I reckon. Then aim for top 4.

Time to take some "learnings" and  "change the narrative" ?

And "build some habits and behaviours"

After all, it's all part of the "journey"

It will be, or many jobs in the Coaches Box will become vacant!

He obviously didn't look at the Rnd22 fixture. The comment was more focused on Friday night's game is the showpiece game, and that the GWS v Dees game on paper looks like the best game of the round.

It's about time we made it our friend.

Reckon we’re in.

Booked first week of finals accommodation - in Canberra.

Family wedding.

Gladly have earpiece in if we’re playing.

FWIW last family wedding was when Baileys Dees crushed Roos Swans.

  • PREVIEW: North Melbourne

Can you believe it? After a long period of years over which Melbourne has dominated in matches against North Melbourne, the Demons are looking down the barrel at two defeats at the hands of the Kangaroos in the same season. And if that eventuates, it will come hot on the heels of an identical result against the Gold Coast Suns. How have the might fallen? There is a slight difference in that North Melbourne are not yet in the same place as Gold Coast. Like Melbourne, they are currently situated in the lower half of the ladder and though they did achieve a significant upset when the teams met earlier in the season, their subsequent form has been equally unimpressive and inconsistent.

  • REPORT: Adelaide

The atmosphere at the Melbourne Football Club at the beginning of the season was aspirational following an injury-plagued year in 2024. Coach Simon Goodwin had lofty expectations with the return of key players, the anticipated improvement from a maturing group with a few years of experience under their belts, and some exceptional young talent also joining the ranks. All of that went by the wayside as the team failed to click into action early on. It rallied briefly with a new strategy but has fallen again with five more  consecutive defeats.
