Cats to ask for home final

Would there still be umpires?

NO. Referees only - required for the fights.

What a cheek!  A home final ?  P L E A S E !!!  Who would you like the final to be against?  Your preference SUGGESTIONS ?  Oh you will be asking to play Carlton, maybe.  That's Fair.  Make the finals first and foremost and then BEG. HA HA laughable.

As they are currently OUTSIDE of the eight maybe their "rag" and supporters are getting ahead of themselves.

Clearly none of you people actually want to attend the game and support your club.

Maybe that is part of the problem if it comes to pass. How do you bloody get in when the Cats have more members than seats.

Yes it was freo. But a melbourne team would result in even crowd numbers also.

I seem to remember this being at the G, and they played a home and away game at Kardinia the week before, and Geelong rested a bunch of players and lost. Or maybe it was the other way around and I am misremembering!

Let’s be realistic the AFL Are all about the $$$

skilled capacity is 36,000

we would get 80k at the MCG Easily I can understand if it’s against GWS but no way will a final between 2 Victorian sides be played at skilled stadium it simply will not happen

My understanding is that the AFL instructed all nine clubs still in contention for finals to send out those emails.

Had we made it, another club would have been seen to be getting ahead of themselves and copped the ridicule.

Unfortunately, nobody really seems interested in the truth when there is an opportunity to sh1tcan Melbourne.

It shows how unprofessional we are. Someone within the club should have said 'No'.

This just sums up theirs arrogance and why I hate them so much. They aren’t even in the 8 and their already requesting a home final.

I hope they pull a Melbourne, choke and finish 9th.

God I hate them.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
